Regarding your recent entry to the U of M that I deleted:

Dan O'Sullivan, a University of Minnesota microbiologist, is credited with the discovery of Bisin, a naturally-occurring agent that destroys the bacteria that cause meat, fish, eggs and dairy products to rot. It was reported in a London Times article titled Scientists Find Eternal Sandwich that Bisin reduces the growth of bacteria including E. coli, salmonella and listeria and could lead to sandwiches that stay fresh for more than a year. Since Bisin is chemically related to Nisin, which is used to keep processed cheese sterile and edible for decades, it does not need to be pharmaceutically tested and could be on the market within a year.

Please consider adding an article on Mr. Sullivan and inlcuding him in the U of M notable alumni article. Sandcherry (talk) 01:33, 15 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
