How old is the tradition with the masks? How common is it? Where does this tradition come from and how was it affected by colonialism? What does the Igbo political scene look like? You mention gender roles for the Mmanwu practice. You could possibly expand on gender roles in the area where this practice is made and its broader political effect. Has there been discomfort in the public due to this? You have a good start to the article.
