A tag has been placed on Associated Student Government, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Addhoc 10:23, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
- I have restored the text to User:CarsonG/Associated Student Government as you requested. You are welcome to expand and rewrite the article to meet Wikipedia's standards. Personally, I think this was a marginal case. It wasn't clearly a speedy candidate but it doesn't seem to have a very encyclopedic tone so I can see why some editors thought it was SPAM rather than encyclopedic. You could challenge the deletion at deletion review but I would counsel you to spend your time and energy on improving the article instead. --Richard 07:31, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
I would love to expand the article and make sure that it is as objective as possible because that is the whole idea. However, I do not see the article when I type in associated student government in the search box. I still see that it is a candidate for speedy deletion.
Please let me know when this is restored so I can begin working on it.

Orphaned non-free media (Image:AsgLOGOlicensed.jpg)
editThanks for uploading Image:AsgLOGOlicensed.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 19:22, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
The file File:Asgpresreagan.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
orphaned file, no foreseeable use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Jon Kolbert (talk) 14:35, 13 August 2017 (UTC)
