Possibly unfree File:WestOrangeCoveMascot.jpg
editA file that you uploaded or altered, File:WestOrangeCoveMascot.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. --MGA73 (talk) 21:40, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:WestOrangeCoveWikipediaLogo.jpg
editA tag has been placed on File:WestOrangeCoveWikipediaLogo.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Help with file
editI've moved this to the end of your page; please always add new sections at the end of pages. Chzz ► 19:11, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
{{helpme}} Hey fetchcomms, you Welcomed me a few months back. How are you? I'm here because I have a question. I uploaded a logo I made, which incorporated one single aspect that I did NOT make, but WAS released in to public domain. The first time I published it, it IMMEADIATELY got removed (by a rather rude admin.) They claimed it was "clearly copyrighted material." So what should I do? reupload it as Public Domain material? Thanks for your help, and the "fruit basket!" :)
- Discussing this now via live help (IRC) Chzz ► 18:41, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
- Right, so; further to our discussions;
- Although the file is used on various websites, we did not (at this time) find appropriate confirmation that it is in the public domain - and that is what is needed.
- If you find such evidence, you can add that to the file, and explain it in the deletion discussion, and all should be OK.
- If the file is deleted but you later find evidence of PD status, then please ask for further help
- I have also noted this in the deletion discussion, which is in Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files/2010 September 4#File:WOCCISD.jpg. Best, Chzz ► 19:11, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, just one more note: you put {{helpme}} but you addressed Fetchcomms. When you use {{helpme}}, you will get help from any available person. If you want to contact a specific person, you should do so on their own user talk page. For Fetchcomms, for example, that is User talk:Fetchcomms - you'd leave him a note there. Cheers, Chzz ► 19:16, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
I think Chzz answered your question. You linked to the PD source at the image discussion, so people will comment there. —fetch·comms 22:26, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
(Moved this over from my own talk page, to keep this discussion in one place Chzz ► 17:54, 8 September 2010 (UTC))
- Again, thank you for your help earlier. I have gladly found a source which deems it PD. Granted, the website looks like it was made by a 2-year-old, but it CLEARLY features a mustang which appears to be the same as the one I am using. It also claims, at the bottom, that they are in PD, and were retrieved from PD.

- When you leave messages, please remember to "sign" your name, by putting ~~~~ (four tilde signs) at the end. This will add your name, and the date and time. You can also do this by clicking the 'sign' button, pictured to the right.
- I would think that that link is just-about enough for us to consider it PD. I will mention my opinion in the discussion, which will be open for other comments for about a week, and then we can decide if the consensus is to keep or delete.
- Hope that all makes sense; please do ask for clarification or any other questions. Best, Chzz ► 13:59, 5 September 2010 (UTC)

editWelcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the username you have chosen seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of a group, company or website.
There are two issues with this:
- You may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, you must exercise great caution when editing on topics related to your organization.
- Your account cannot represent a group of people. You may wish to create a new account with a username that represents only you. Alternatively, you may consider changing your username to avoid giving the impression that your personal account is being used for promotional purposes.
Regardless of whether you change your name or create a new account, you are not exempted from the guideline to avoid editing where you have a conflict of interest. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations.The article in question is West Orange-Stark High School. Thank you.

Notification of automated file description generation
editYour upload of File:CarlGodwinAuditorium.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.
This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. File permission problem with File:Foundation1.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Foundation1.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 23:13, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
The file File:Woshs.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Unused logo with no article used, it's also can't move to commons because of an unused logo will be deleted as of out of project scope.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Willy1018 (talk) 06:57, 24 March 2019 (UTC)
