Re: "ECM"
Hi Casper - thanks for your message regarding ECM - High Tech Recruitment. I was trying to do this properly & put info about ecm - plus link to info about technical recruitment etc - rather than just a load of links for commercial purposes. I had already removed the direct link to our site. How come there are links to ECM records, Microsoft, the BBC etc - aren't these links to commercial sites in much the same way? I am very much a newbie, so your advice is appreciated. --—Preceding unsigned comment added by Sholi (talk • contribs)
- It doesn't matter if you put a ton of links in an article, or if you've got pages of content about a subject - what matters is the context the article is written in.
- Information taken from WP:SPAM: There are two types of wikispam: advertisements masquerading as articles, and wide-scale external link spamming. Articles considered advertisements include those that are solicitations for a business, product or service, or are public relations pieces designed to promote a company or individual. Wikispam articles are usually noted for sales-oriented language and external links to a commercial website. A differentiation should be made between spam articles and legitimate articles about commercial entities, however.
- If you have a look at ECM_Records, Microsoft and Bbc you'll see that these are articles that don't exist as solicitations for a business, product or service.
- If you feel that your "ECM (UK technical recruitment company in Cambridge - high-tech jobs in software, hardware, electronics, physics)" page was deleted un-fairly, please see Wikipedia:Undeletion_policy

Hi Casper - I see that you have deleted my newly modified version of the ecm page & I would really like to understand what I had done wrong this time around. I seem to have wasted a lot of time re-doing the page - only to again have it removed with no feedback to my questions on the comments page. As I mentioned - I copied exactly the format used in the Autonomy Corporation page (which is not tagged for deletion) so I really can't see why the ecm page was not allowed & yet the Autonomy Corporation page was.
Please could you explain your reasoning - as I am genuinely trying to do this properly. I presume that you must have good reason for doing what you are doing (which is incredibly frustrating on my side) - but I really do need to understand your reasoning on this. Many thanks - Jim.
Popups
Hi! thanks for your help in RC patrolling. Be a bit careful with the use of the popups and make sure you revert to the right version. Here] you wound up reinstating something which probably should not be reinstated. Sjakkalle (Check!) 13:17, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry about that! Hate it when that happens! --Casper2k3 13:18, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
Conor Canavan
please refrain from deleting Conor Canavan. It is not vandalism, but he is a characyer from a popular comic book series in the republic of ireland. Im new at this and i was plannin on mentionin that later in the article --—Preceding unsigned comment added by RDLP715 (talk • contribs)
- Hi there RDLP715. First of all, if you ever want to contest the speedy deletion of a page you need to edit the page and add {{hangon}} to the top of it. Then, when an administrator comes to check if the page does need deleting they wont delete it straight away.
- At the moment, the article sound like gibberish to me. Could you provide the name of the comic book series and any links to online sources which mention the comic and/or characters involved? This would help the administrators in deciding if the article needs deleting or not. --Casper2k3 16:28, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
Bias opinion on articles
Administrators have been deleting articles saying it is nonsense; however, they leave other better constructed articles on similar topics. I feel you are targeting certain races particulary blacks. If I knew how to report you to the Wiki president I would. I feel I deserve an apology and want to know what you have against the African Race. I think you are very wet and stupid. I would link wet but that is nonsence. --—Preceding unsigned comment added by HTA (talk • contribs)
- Thankyou for your message expressing your concerns.
- First off - I am not an administrator, I am a recent changes patroller. RC Patrollers exist to protect the wiki from harmful edits (vandalism, unsuitable pages, personal attack pages and so on).
- Second, I am not racist. I do not - and would not - have knowledge of your skin color or ethnicity.
- Third, I edited the HTA page as, in my opinion, the comments you added in this revision were unnecessary. The HTA page was subsequently vandalised multiple times, which led to the page being protected from being edited, by an administrator.
- If you want to appeal against the page being protected, please see WP:RPP.
- Please also sign your comments on all talk pages by puting four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your message (more info...).

Verka Serdyuchka
Hi
Can you please change the spelling of the article to Verka SerdYuchka with the y in there, and I don't think it should be deleted - I can add more details. --—Preceding unsigned comment added by Jamie o83 (talk • contribs)
Clay Tyson
Hi. I saw your request for speedy deletion for Clay Tyson. I have added my reasons why I think the article should stay on the talk page for the article.--Anchoress 09:57, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks! I feel kind of thrilled - my first speedy deletion! Have a nice weekend, if you celebrate the weekend wherever you are. ;-) --Anchoress 10:08, 8 April 2006 (UTC)

Please take a gander at the Harvey Meyerhoff article and see whether it meets the criteria for notability now.
I know it's not stylistically ideal, but I hurried to flesh it out to give a better sense for why I put it up in the first place. If it needs more substance, please let me know.
Thanks!--Beware of Cow 19:06, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
I understand.
Bound to make a mistake at one point. Please forgive. I fully understamd the reason for deletion. Will not happen again.

Skiffing
Please see my comments on skiffing. What I wrote was not vandalism, it is a real term within the British army.
Please explain why you allow Felching but my entry for skiffing was deleted? --—Preceding unsigned comment added by GokuARRSE (talk • contribs)
Hey, it's Dragonball1986
Since, it's my talk page, I can do whatever I want to it, can't I? I'm sorry about the tests on polygraph and such. Please answer back. (P.S.: I understand the warnings, so, why can't I delete them?) User talk:Dragonball1986 --—Preceding unsigned comment added by Dragonball1986 (talk • contribs)
- (Reply posted at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Dragonball1986#Re:_Your_message)
- Thanks for your message. The official reason why users aren't allowed to remove warnings from their :own user talk page is explained a bit better in this warning template. It is basically being :disruptive. There is also a poll going on under what circumstances a user may be able to remove :warnings from their talk page. I think that the comments there should provide you with a general idea :of why it isn't allowed to remove warnings. --Casper2k3 16:46, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Hey, it's Dragonball1986, again...
Can U explain about these threats and all you just sent me? Thnkz --—Preceding unsigned comment added by Dragonball1986 (talk • contribs)
- Don't see how the above message was a threat. --Casper2k3 17:09, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Hey, it's Dragonball1986, again...
Okay, can u explain why you're threatening me again and again. And why can't I just award myself? I understand the rules. I'm just editing your threats so they don't scare me every time I look at my beautiful talk:page --—Preceding unsigned comment added by Dragonball1986 (talk • contribs)
- I'm not threatening you. Removing warnings from your user talk page is not allowed. Removing warnings from your user talk page is classed as being disruptive. Being disruptive may get you blocked. --Casper2k3 17:16, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Rosster
Casper what is your problem, i imagine you are some weedy little nerd sitting in front of your computer all day, what is wrong with the rosster article, it is all true, i dont know why you have a problem with it, isnt wikipedia supposed to be a site where anyone can post articles, i really dont know what you expect, you deleted the 1st rosster page so i remade it making it look a lot more professional and yet you still delete it --—Preceding unsigned comment added by Guysharpe (talk • contribs)
- If you have a look at the deletion log, the Rosster page was deleted on three occasions for being a "non-notable biography / vanity (page) about a person or persons that does not assert the notability of the subject". Please familiarise yourself with this page. And no - I'm not a nerd. --Casper2k3 17:42, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
I saw that the article on Helfgott Research Institute was tagged for deletion. I tried to put together an adequate stub, but I did so quite quickly. I'm still not certain that the Helfgott Research Institute is notable, but at least the article isn't an empty one. Please make any changes or additions that seem appropriate. -- TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 21:11, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

A response
Sorry for this mistake. I did not know what you wrote. As you know I am a new user of Wikipedia. I started contributing to Wikipedia in April 2006. I hope I will improve in the future.
A helpful tool
I found by accident a very helpful tool. You know the free browser Mozilla Firefox. There is an extention to it called StumpleUpon which is a toolbar that allows you to find random sites related to any subject you specify. The toolbar is divided into two parts: the first part makes you choose the type of content the toolbar searches:All web, News, Photos,Videos or Wikipedia. The second part consists of your favourite catagories like: physics, mathematics, ... etc.
You can download the toolbar-after installing firefox by pressing Tools/Extensions then Get more extensions. A web page will be opened which contains many extensions. You will find StumpleUpon among them.
I tested it for physics and came through many sites which exist as external links on Wikipedia pages. All the sites were OK regarding security.
This toolbar can be used by Wikipedia users to search for sites related to any topic which will save a lot of effort.
Try it. It's great!
Alan Jackson Freeman might be a candidate for userfication rather than speedy deletion. TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 03:04, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
