Reflist

edit

Hi Castroex,
Reflist in 2 columns is now used more often as opposed to 1 column, Technically all reflists are now supposed to be "30em" as opposed to 1 or 2 but personally I hate it,
Anyway instead of us both edit warring further I've gone to WP:30 in the hope it can be resolved,
Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 02:22, 17 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing, as you did at MCV Stirling. Your edits have been reverted or removed.

Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in your being blocked from editing. –Davey2010Talk 03:20, 28 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

  • I've added hundreds of galleries to articles for the past 2/3 years and not one person has had any issue, I appreciate we have commons but bus articles are extremely hard to source so adding a gallery fills the article up and plus it's actually helpful to those wanting to see the vehicles and not have to go to another website to access them, If they were to be removed then you may aswell remove every single gallery on this place,
BTW kindly stop with the edit warring otherwise you're going to end up blocked,
Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 03:34, 28 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
Sorry to deflate your ego, but if I was going to do some stalking, would find someone far more interesting than your good self. WP:Gallery states:
"the use of a gallery section may be appropriate in some Wikipedia articles if a collection of images can illustrate aspects of a subject that cannot be easily or adequately described by text or individual images. The images in the gallery collectively must have encyclopedic value and add to the reader's understanding of the subject."
" Wikipedia is not an image repository. A gallery is not a tool to shoehorn images into an article, and a gallery consisting of an indiscriminate collection of images of the article subject should generally either be improved in accordance with the above paragraph or moved to Wikimedia Commons"
Based on this, I don't think a gallery of the same body/chassis combination four times over adds any value. Would be more appropriate if used to break up a large section of prose or if there were different versions, eg Optare Solo, but not in this case. Castroex (talk) 08:27, 28 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
You have to admit it does seem odd we had a disagreement in february which was the last time you edited and then first edit you make is too have another disagreement with me today?, Don't get me wrong we all have disagreements here but just seems if I'm being completely honest you perhaps have some sort of issue with me ? (Which if that's the case I'd rather you told me as as I've learned here life's too short to have wars/"grudges" here),
I absolutely agree there shouldn't be huge amounts of images of the same vehicle but problem is these articles hardly ever get expanded and I feel why not make the most of the article by shoving images in it,
I've struck the warning as was uncalled for so my apologies for that, –Davey2010Talk 13:47, 28 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Northern Counties Motor & Engineering Company, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Pemberton. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
