Your recent editing history at Domestic violence shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Thanks Bbb23. I'm still getting the hang of this, so I'd just like some clarification: The domestic violence article is subject to article probation, the terms of which seem to include the WP:1RR rule (which, frankly, I'd forgotten about). A user reverted several of my edits in quick succession recently. We took it to the talk page, and I subsequently re-edited the page after some discussion. Were one or both of us in violation of WP:1RR? Either way, I'll tread more cautiously in the future. Casusbelli1 (talk) 16:09, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

Portions of the article are subject to sanctions. I think it's easiest to think of the entire section (and subsections) "Gender Aspects" as being subject to those sanctions. Whether there are other sections I'm not sure. You're the only editor who violated 1RR. As I stated, you've come close to violating 3RR, which is not dependent on the probation to be sanctioned. I'm going to see if I can figure out a way to make this clearer on the talk page to all editors.--Bbb23 (talk) 20:20, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

Maybe you can tell me how portions of the article qualify under 'Men's Rights' (broadly construed) because I'm not seeing it. Sanctions should be applied in common sense situations where it's necessary and appropriate, but I'm not seeing in any way the section relating to 'men's rights' (which is what the sanctions are about). I can't spot a single revert by Casusbelli1 in the article history. He made four edits, which were reverted by Flyer22. This was followed by two edits, which were not reverts (except for a short paragraph on gay partners, which was not the reason why Flyer22 reverted and was brought up on talk page only later). That is normal Wikipedia consensus-searching process. Flyer22 did one full revert, Casusbelli1 did one very partial revert.

Bbb23 also attached the partial probation template to the article after Casusbelli1 did his edits. The connection to "men's rights" is pretty vague, is domestic violence rate of gay partners a topic of the "MRM"? Don't game the probation system like this, Bbb23. --Pudeo' 00:39, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
