Sockpuppeting concern

edit

@SMcCandlish Hello there, I came here to enquire about you accusing me of Sockpuppeting. The IP editor in question was not me, however, I don't exactly know how I'm supposed to prove this? (If I even need to?) I really wouldn't want to risk loosing my ability to contribute to Wikipedia over something that could possibly be sorted out, as I greatly enjoy it.

When I made the edit on the Supreme Cat Show I was just intending to leave it how it had been left before, as I wasn't quite sure at the time if the 'TBA' part was appropriate or not. I feel I must say I do appreciate you having corrected on that, as I now know better. Catfanaticmeow (talk) 22:35, 16 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

I wouldn't worry about it. If potential sock concerns look like something to address, they get addressed at WP:SPI with a bunch of evidence diffs and such. A one-off edit that looks kind of fishy isn't cause for that level of drama. If you say you're not the same person as the IP editor, I'm inclined to believe you, and nothing further is likely to come of this. But an IP re-injecting the same unhelpful "TBA" stuff, shortly after it was reverted for good cause already, would be along WP:MEATPUPPET lines, which is part of the same page (WP:Sockpuppetry), so that page needed to be cited anyway.  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  22:53, 16 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Alright, thank you a lot for the response and explanation. It's well appreciated. Catfanaticmeow (talk) 22:56, 16 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
