Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. OhNoitsJamie Talk 14:11, 25 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

hello, I really don't understand why you cancelled all the links I entered. My activity is not commercial promotion, I simply aim to help orientate people who need further information on rare diseases. Orphanet is the European portal of information on rare and orphan diseases. There's nothing to sell or buy on Orphanet. It just a source of freely-accessible and expert-validated information. So could you please allow me to add these external links? Thank you very much Catywalk (talk) 15:57, 25 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

We don't permit link canvassing, period. See WP:COI and WP:EL. OhNoitsJamie Talk 16:11, 25 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Orphanet is a non-profit organisation that offers reliable expert-validated information for patients. We have HonCode certification. Do you have any solution that would allow us to provide a link to our website for individual diseases in order to help us inform people who need trustworthy information about a specific rare or orphan disease? Thank you very much for any help you could provide.

Apparently you didn't read WP:COI. OhNoitsJamie Talk 15:39, 26 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for spamming or advertising. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
