API well number

Hello again! Thanks for your recent work on API well number and Mud logging as well as various other contributions. It's clear you have a lot of useful expertise in these areas. I noticed you weren't sure how best to go about doing references. In general, the preferred method is the way you did the two footnotes currently on API well number. You'll notice I gave the first one a name="", and then used it again later down the page. On Wikipedia, this is preferred to "ibid". The other inline links should either be turned into references, or treated as additional "External links" at the bottom of the article. For the text of the citations, you may like to use predefined templates like {{cite journal}}, {{cite web}}, etc.

Speedy deletion of API well numbers

A tag has been placed on API well numbers requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Thanks for upgrading the history bits for Colfax County! Just a couple of things: you don't need to link multiple times to the same article in a single paragraph, and linking to the article in itself (for example, linking to Cimarron while on the Cimarron article) is unnecessary. National Register

Thanks for adding the articles on Raton Downtown Historic District and Cimarron Historic District. If you're interested in this sort of thing, you might like to participate in the WikiProject National Register of Historic Places. There's an NRHP infobox generator available that speeds up the formatting and automatically sets up at least some of the referencing. Keep up the good work! Do you want it deleted? In general, you'll see a back-reference to the parent redirect at the top of the article once you've arrived at the target. Just click that link and edit it. Acroterion _(talk) 01:41, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

What would you like to do with it? Basically, having jumped over to the redirect, you just hit the edit tab and replace the redirect script with the desired content. It looks to me like it's a relatively pointless redirect left over from a page move, and it may be safely deleted (which I can do as an admin, but you can't). I tidied a little bit: you had a space between Springer and the comma - I moved it again and deleted the old versions and tidied the redirects. Don't worry, I screw up moves with typos frequently. I have created my first disambiguation page Colfax County Courthouse (disambiguation) , but I can't get it up and running until that link gets broken. My worst nightmare. There is also a Colfax County Courthouse (Schuyler, Nebraska) on the National Register. don't overlook the NHLs

Hi Caveman1949, welcome to wp:NRHP. I see your interest expressed for NRHPs in Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming. Please, don't overlook the NRHPs that are also National Historic Landmarks, at List of NHLs in CO, List of NHLs in NM, and List of NHLs in WY. I and some others have been specializing in working on the NHL lists and we would really like to get pics for them all and to develop their articles.

The Palace Hotel On 1st St and Cook Ave.

Hi, Caveman.

I've seen your numerous contributions and was hoping you may be kind enough to help me.

I am looking for information on the Palace Hotel located in the Historical District in Raton. It is listed as number 23 and is located on the corner of 1st street and Cook ave. Between 1975-77, I was a teenager and live and worked there. I am now researching the building's history and appreciate anything you can provide.

RE: Cite Book

Hola!

Tips for using the Cite Book taglette:

If you are using the entire publication, leave "pages" section blank. This is to be used if you are referencing certain pages (like p.124. or pp.189-193.), not the total number of pages contained in the publication.

Also, if you are only referencing one page from a publication, you can remove the "s" from the word "pages" and it will delete one "p", thus making "pp." look like "p."

• pages or page: "|pages= 5–7" produces pp. 5–7, while "|page= 5" produces p. 5. The "pp." notation indicating multiple pages, and "p." notation indicating a single page, are placed automatically when you choose between the plural (pages) or singular (page) form of the parameter. These parameters are for listing the pages relevant to the citation, not the total number of pages in the book.

• nopp: using "page" or "pages", automatically places the p. or pp. notations. If this is inappropriate—for instance, if page=Front cover, placing any value after nopp will hide the p. or pp. notation.

You can also remove all of those useless spaces. This really helps when Cite Book is used in a large paragraph or sections of text.

If you don't have an ISBN, you can add an OCLC like this:

|OCLC= 21705239

Which makes it look like this:
