WP:FILMS newsletter ready
editHope you had a happy new year celebration! The newsletter is ready for release, and hopefully you haven't sent your batch out yet. We're now heading into our fourth year (if going by calendar years!) of writing the newsletter and I really want to thank you for sending it out so many times. I'm hoping that I can continue to work on it for all of this year as well but with school done and work on the horizon, we'll see. If you already sent out your batches and are sick of sending out so many newsletters, let me know and I'll send it out. Happy editing! --Nehrams2020 (talk) 12:44, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
- The above just meant that they get sent out at the beginning of each month, not that I'll make everyone wait until I get a few piled up. :P I'll send it out
nowlater today (the box I send them out on is down for the moment, should be up later today). Cbrown1023 talk 18:46, 1 January 2009 (UTC)- Sounds good. Thanks again for sending it out. --Nehrams2020 (talk) 02:55, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

WP:FILMS Questionnaire
editHey, I was wondering if you'd be able to send out the following message to all WP:FILM members. It's regarding the questionnaire that the coordinators set up.
- "As a member of WikiProject Films, you are invited to take part in the project's first questionnaire. It is intended to gauge your participation and views on the project. At the conclusion of the questionnaire, the project's coordinators will use the gathered feedback to find new ways to improve the project and reach out to potential members. The results of the questionnaire will be published in next month's newsletter. If you know of any editors who have edited film articles in the past, please invite them to take part in the questionnaire. Please stop by and take a few minutes to answer the questions so that we can continue to improve our project. Happy editing!"
If you're unable to send it, let me know and I'll send it out. If you do send it out, feel free to be one of the first to answer the questions. Hope you're doing well. --Nehrams2020 (talk) 05:08, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

WikiProject Horror needs your help
editCbrown1023/Archive 24 : You've received this message as you are listed as a WikiProject Horror Participant. As you may have noticed, WikiProject Horror has suffered from a lack of direction and coordination of late. A suggestion on how to improve the Project and maintain it as a viable resource has been placed up for discussion here. As a member of the Project, your voice is valued and your input is requested. Thank you, hornoir (talk) 23:36, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

editNew York City Meetup
|
In the afternoon, we will hold a session dedicated to meta:Wikimedia New York City activities, look at our approval by the Chapters Committee, develop ideas for chapter projects at museums and libraries throughout our region, and hold salon-style group discussions on Wikipedia and the other Wikimedia projects (see the November meeting's minutes and the December mini-meetup's minutes).
We'll make preparations for our exciting museum photography Wikipedia Loves Art! February bonanza (on Flickr, on Facebook) with Shelley from the Brooklyn Museum and Alex from the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
We'll also be collecting folks to join our little Wikipedia Takes the Subway adventure which will be held the day after the meeting.
In the evening, we'll share dinner and chat at a local restaurant, and generally enjoy ourselves and kick back.
You can add or remove your name from the New York City Meetups invite list at Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/Invite list.
To keep up-to-date on local events, you can also join our mailing list.
