Thanks for uploading File:Southern Arkansas University logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Corkythehornetfan(talk) 14:10, 14 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Good morning, Mr. Corky,
I think I might need your help with this, because I obviously did something very wrong. The logo I uploaded is the University's new official logo, which is meant to replace the old flame logo that used to sit at the :bottom of our infobox on the right. I thought by uploading the photo as I did (under the claim of being non-free as an official logo) and then swapping it out for the photo that was in our infobox that that would :be sufficient. But, apparently, all I did was orphan a logo.
How do I rectify this, and have that logo be associated with our infobox (bottom)? Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated, please and thank you. :) - Cdbrice00 (talk) 14:20, 14 March 2014 (UTC)cdbrice 3-14-15Reply
Cdbrice,
Your picture is orphaned because I took your file you uploaded, and made it transparent. When I made it transparent, it converted to a .png, which then I uploaded to the previous logo (File:Southern Arkansas University (logo).png) being used that was a .png for the article. The new logo you uploaded is still being used in the bottom of the infobox, just as a .png format. You did nothing wrong.. I just made it transparent. But in the non-free box, you might want to put the link to the source, that way it is easier to find. Hope this helps! Corkythehornetfan(talk) 15:03, 14 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
