Speedy deletion of 1987 (number)

edit

A tag has been placed on 1987 (number), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Xiaphias (talk) 06:42, 1 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with 1987 (number). Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you.Aiden Fisher (talk) 06:52, 1 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contribution to John Paulitious, but we are trying to write an encyclopedia here, so please keep your edits factual and neutral. Our readers are looking for serious articles and will not find joke edits amusing. Remember, millions of people read Wikipedia, so we have to take what we do here seriously. Username listed for immediate blocking. Troplock (talk) 06:58, 1 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hiya. In case you were wondering – since Troplock didn't bother to tell you – he's recommending your account be blocked because it has the word "heinz" in it, like the ketchup company. I think his request will probably fail; but who knows.
Anyways, I saw you created the page 1987 (number). If you just wanted to try creating a page from scratch, I can offer you some suggestions on pages which need creatin'. For example, a couple articles that I started are press pass, Monte Iberia Eleuth (a type of frog), and Iowa 80 (a big truck-stop in Iowa).
Cheers!
