editThank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Kanaiyalal Maneklal Munshi. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Replaceable fair use File:Model 111 Wagner tuba in F.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Model 111 Wagner tuba in F.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. ☼ 07:48, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Master Tara Singh, Kanaiyalal Munshi, and Chakravarti Rajagopalachari at conference.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:Master Tara Singh, Kanaiyalal Munshi, and Chakravarti Rajagopalachari at conference.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. ☼ 07:50, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

editHi. In Mohnish Bahl, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Indian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello - I've had a look at the Rudy article and IMHO it didn't have quite as many issues as the tags might have suggested. Essentially I've added a few more in-line citations, and amended the lede which really should be a summary of the main article, rather than prefatory in nature. I guess the article itself just needs a few more sources for citations - if there are any interviews with Rudy in published form, for instance, those would be good I'd think. All best, Alfietucker (talk) 17:02, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
- Hi. First of all thanks for taking interest in the article. I really appreciate the fine-tuning you've done. The article looks much better now. Centaur81 (talk) 17:18, 16 December 2011 (UTC)

Mohnish Bahl
editPlease don't replace wekly cited disputed content into a WP:BLP - there is a report at the WP:BLPN - please discuss and seek consensus for your desired addition there - please be aware facebook is not a reliable source for any content and as a recent news issue - where is an online sources regarding this titillation claim? Having a weak source such as this is not a gold star to include disputed content. - Is this all there is - Mohnish quits TV show Bombay Times 29 February ? Youreallycan 15:18, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
- The section 'Controversies' does not in any way violate WP:BLP and your argument about the news report being a 'weak' source is ridiculous and that this is disputed content is baseless. On what basis do you claim that the information is disputed? Who has disputed it? The very fact that a news report can be cited to support information in itself voids your argument. It is you who is sensationalizing the information by calling it 'titillating'. It is no way titillating. Sorry, but completely disagree with you. Centaur81 (talk) 17:00, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
That is your privilege - I am disputing it. It is titillating imo - where are the reliable sources? Have you got anything I can access? You don't object to the facebook not being a reliable source then? =- discussion is at the notaceboard -Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons/Noticeboard#Mohnish_Bahl_(Behl) - please present your WP:RS that support your desired addition there - thanks - Youreallycan 17:04, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
- Btw, you should have asked for consensus before deleting the section. Your move was absolutely rude and uncalled for. Centaur81 (talk) 17:24, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
- Disputed weakly cited and opinionated allegations about a living subject can and should be removed - I couldn't care less about your assertions of rudeness - Youreallycan 18:42, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
- Look here, I don't know why we are quibbling. First of all, I never introduced the section myself. All I did was find sources which supported the claim. I thought the news reports had some substance and that the section projected a neutral POV. As you might have read, I have not made any allegations, I have in fact, presented both views, that of Mr. Bahl and that of the newspaper which carried the report. Maybe we could introduce this 'controversy' in the section 'Life and work' or is that not acceptable as well? Centaur81 (talk) 05:52, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
- Disputed weakly cited and opinionated allegations about a living subject can and should be removed - I couldn't care less about your assertions of rudeness - Youreallycan 18:42, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
I have added an unopinionated neutral paragraph in the section 'Life and work' which I understand will not cause any further dispute. The reports of both The Bombay Times as well as more logical reports in The Indian Express and Deccan Herald have been cited. Centaur81 (talk) 07:44, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite
editHi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:27, 20 October 2016 (UTC)

- The article is currently undergoing major restructuring. You may have seen the notice. Certain information was being added and was in the process of being edited. I see that you removed certain matter specifically from two websites, but you also undid other major changes that had information that was not copyrighted. This is not fair. The page has lost major restructuring changes because of this action. Centaur81 (talk) 11:19, 25 September 2021 (UTC)
