Kenya

edit

Some time ago, I posted information about Kenya's eTA on several countries' pages as a test.

And I intentionally didn't change the color. This is because I couldn't decide whether it should be green or turquoise.

So I waited, someone to react. And then you appeared.

I'm still hesitant to decide on green but since you chose green, I'll write green in the space for Kenya. Lades2222 (talk) 09:40, 5 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello Lades,
I'm not entirely sure if my line of reasoning was correct, since I simply based it off the precedence set by New Zealand and Australia, both of which have their eTA requirements colored green. Additionally, Kenya itself treats the eTA differently from their old eVisa and markets it as a visa-free regime, thus I thought this would be the best approach.
Feel free to list any concerns and make any corrections.

I'll remove the link attached to the word kenya eTA.
Since I've already included a link to the kenya eTA website, the 'word' link does not have much meaning.
thanks. Lades2222 (talk) 23:22, 5 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
No worries, I just saw that Australia and New Zealand had a link attached. Centuries123 (talk) 01:32, 6 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Benin visa policy

edit

Hi Centuries123, I've left you a comment in the edit history of Visa policy of Benin. Benin's unilateral visa exemption for citizens of China (as according to Timatic) is not the first unilateral policy taken by Benin, but it is unique in the sense that the government website does not mention the unilateral visa exemption (whereas it did for other countries in the past). 18:54, 3 August 2024 (UTC) =JaventheAldericky= (Would you like to talk to me?) 18:54, 3 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hey JaventheAldericky,
Thanks for the reply! I was curious if Singapore's visa exemption was bilateral or unilateral since I also couldn't find anything regarding Haiti and Hong Kong being exempt as well. Only Singapore is listed as "visa exempted" on the government's website to the best of my knowledge. I'm not really sure how to deal with Benin's visa policy since it seems to only cover bilateral agreements, though the government did announce itself that Chinese citizens were exempt from visas. Centuries123 (talk) 20:40, 6 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
I interpreted "Passeport national" (national passport) as referring to ordinary passports - non-ordinary passports like diplomatic and service passports are already listed separately, so it wouldn't make sense for "national passport" to be anything other than an ordinary (national) passport. =JaventheAldericky= (Would you like to talk to me?) 18:55, 9 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
As for China, perhaps adding a link to the government announcement about the unilateral visa waiver for citizens of China would suffice? =JaventheAldericky= (Would you like to talk to me?) 18:58, 9 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
