Hi
editWomen of color
editHi! I wanted to let you know that I reverted your edits to the article for women of color. The reason for this is that the article is not written in a neutral and encyclopedic manner and the section on television didn't source their content properly, as they did not link to the sourcing in specific and only wrote that something came from a particular source. while you did a good job trying to make the content easier to read by breaking it into paragraphs, the content still needed to be removed and rewritten. I've done a quick re-write to remove the worst of the original research from this section and I think that this would be a good article to improve as the entire article is like this.
You didn't do anything wrong - I just wanted to let you know what I did and why. I just didn't want you to end up writing in the same fashion that the section had been written in. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 14:28, 26 September 2017 (UTC)
Hello Shalor (Wiki Ed)! I did break the large paragraph into smaller ones, but I also added a small paragraph about common stereotypes of African American women in television. I was wondering if you could tell me what I did wrong with that paragraph, since it was removed as well. I do not doubt your judgement, I just want to realize what I did wrong so I can improve. Please let me know! Thanks. Cg2727 (talk) 12:40, 27 September 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Cg2727, for some reason this ping didn't show up - I'm so sorry about that! In any case, I have to admit that I missed what you had added the first time, since it was kind of hidden in with the other work. Your paragraph was well done and I've re-added it to the article. I did tweak one sentence a little, the one that mentioned Kretsedemas, to show where he made these observations. I'm sorry that I removed this along with the other work, as your work was done very well. It was neutrally written and well sourced, so thank you for catching this! If you can add more content to the article like this, it will make it much more strong and give it the TLC it very much needs! Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:50, 4 October 2017 (UTC)
