Speedy deletion nomination of Vancouver Institute for the Americas (VIA)
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Vancouver Institute for the Americas (VIA), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. RA0808 talkcontribs 22:43, 13 May 2017 (UTC)
Hello, Charito2000. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Derrick Haro (diplomat), for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted: -- Hello Onel5969 since your statement it is a question of opinion, I must have to say, that after reading the inclusion criteria, my opinion is that this article is valid for public viewing. Or perhaps you have a personal need to block this information -- In that case, your Wikipedia administration should be reviewed. Charito2000

Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution
editThank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Patagonia to Governorate of New Léon (your addition has since been removed). While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. If you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 10:39, 4 June 2018 (UTC)

editPlease do not create, maintain or restore hoaxes on Wikipedia, as you did at William III of Geneva. If you are interested to know how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements already in Wikipedia – and, if possible, correct them. Please do not disrupt Wikipedia. Continued disruption will be met with sanctions, which could include a block from editing. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia to learn more about this project and how you can contribute constructively. Thank you. Starship 24 (talk) 19:45, 9 April 2023 (UTC)
The article William III of Geneva has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Appears to be a hoax. All but the linked sources I cant find anywhere. Source 1 (referenced way too much) is from a french book and i don't know french, so not certain about that one. Source 2 has no mention of William III of geneva (shorter so I put in translate). Actually no mention of either word (other than of). Source 3 has mention of the french word for Geneva but not the word for William or third.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Starship 24 (talk) 15:10, 10 April 2023 (UTC)
