However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:Bruno Alves are for discussion related to improving the article in specific ways based on reliable sources and the project policies and guidelines, not for general discussion about the topic or unrelated topics, or statements based on your thoughts or feelings.  Opinion on concise grammar, vernacular or colloquialisms, can not be primarily reduced to personal thoughts or feelings as if in a ego trip. In this case broadly speaking, the construct and understanding of the English language amongst the many different nations using it as a official/main language, is such that, there's little room for reinvention about what means what in which context. Among English speakers of diverse countries around the globe like Kenya, USA, Australia or the UK for example, there's always a common thread despite colloquialisms, hence the realization, despite where we may come from and that includes perfectly bilingual people, by someone that speaks it as a natural language to notice something is amiss by the way certain expressions and phrases are written by non natural English speakers. Therefore, to try and guide non natural English speakers, is in my humble opinnion, the least one should do to gently try to point out certain nuances and so on. Notwithstanding, within their own first language context, the excellence of such writers, however, when somebody obviously writes English as a second or third language, clearly unaware of certain contextual nuances and stubbornly sticks to their own translation perceptions of how the proper understanding the vernacular functions, what then? Perhaps without offending anyone's sensibilities, more efficacious persuasion methods can be recommended to highlight the situation before such contributers.

I felt "English As She is spoke" was a classic example to precisely demonstrate that. Having said so, I understand your point. Thank you.

ArbCom 2018 election voter message

Hello, CharlieCares. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
