Hi, I have retargeted Lu'au to Lūʻau since it differs only in diacritics. I also noticed you turned Luau into a disambiguation page but there already was one at Luau (disambiguation). I have undone so, if you wish you move the disambiguation page to the base name, please open a WP:Requested move.
I am also unsure about the consolidating and redirect of Laulau (now a redirect Laulau) to Lūʻau (food) but I don't have know knowledge to know but "lūʻau" does not seem to be the WP:COMMONNAME of that food dish. I'm not sure if I'm contesting that yet but wanted to bring it up. Skynxnex (talk) 03:22, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for your input. Lu'au is the most appropriate article for these dishes. Lu'au just means "taro leaves for eating". Samoan historically used the name "lu'au" prior to palusami, but there was already a separate article pertaining to the Hawaiian dish only. "Rukau" was listed in both the laulau and lu'au articles, which is all the bit more confusing. "Rourou" was not mentioned in the original laulau article either, although Fijians prepared them like laulau also. Again, all these dishes share in common is using taro leaves as the main ingredient, as suggested in the Austronesian-Polynesian etymology section. Chedlund808 (talk) 17:18, 16 September 2023 (UTC)
Reorganizing Template:Philippine cuisine
editHello, I noticed you created the article Pinapaitan, which is a quality article in my opinion. Since you appear to be adept at cuisines and dishes, can you please reorganize the links in Template:Philippine cuisine? I have been reorganizing several of them over the past months, but it needs cleanup and reorganizing for better accessibility and navigation. For example, the "main dishes" section in that template would be better if it had subsections aside from the "rice dishes" (I was thinking of beef dishes, pork dishes, chicken dishes but these may be too restricting if the dish has variants, though I am not sure). I hope you could help out. Thanks. Sanglahi86 (talk) 20:51, 8 October 2023 (UTC)
