A tag has been placed on Dale Hester, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -SpuriousQ (talk) 12:41, 3 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:Freheit.PNG

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Freheit.PNG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 16:08, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

Habbo Hotel edits

edit

Hi Cheese223. I recently reworded your contributions to the Habbo Hotel article. Firstly, the original conception of Habbo Hotel was Mobiles Disco, and not Hotelli Kultakala, as Hotelli Kultakala is Finnish for Habbo Hotel. Secondly, if you are adding words that are made-up words used in the Hotel (such as Traks and TrakPaks), you need to italicise them, or add quotes (") around them to make it clear to the reader that it isn't a spelling error. I also moved the Hotels that have Trax available to the end of the paragraph, as I felt that the list would continue growing and would get very clogged up as a opening sentence.

Finally, for the same reason as above, I removed Habbo Gs and Habbo Ls and replaced it with "although names differ throughout Hotels", as I felt that this list would continue growing and that more Hotels with different names for Habbo experts would continue to be added.

I really do appreciate your contributions to the article, and I'm not changing them specifically to target you. I am only fixing to what is best for the article, and the encyclopedia as a whole. You may also consider reading Wikipedia's manual of style, for some guidelines often used throughout articles in Wikipedia. Kindest regards, Sebi [talk] 05:31, 3 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

As far as I am concerned, Mobiles Disco was a different online game, which Habbo Hotel was then based on. But back then Habbo Hotel was not called Habbo Hotel, it was Goldfish Hotel, Finnish translation Hotelli Kultakala, but Sulake decided to come up with another name, more suitable for the project. As for the TrakPaks, if TrakPaks is the official name for the set of objects than that is what the article will say, but we won't include TrakPaks as a name if it is just what players call it. Orphaned non-free image (Image:Mmob2-9383.png)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Mmob2-9383.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 20:57, 10 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

edit

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:KyleMassey.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 11:00, 15 July 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Genisock2 11:00, 15 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Proposed Deletion

edit

Warp Online Gaming

edit

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Warp Online Gaming, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. kateshortforbob 15:33, 6 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Avatar High

edit

The article Avatar High has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Windows 93

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Windows 93, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.   — Jeff G. ツ 13:04, 3 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
