editHello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but it appears you have written or added to an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Chental-Song Bembry Page Edits

Hello Shoy,
My name is Chental-Song Bembry. On November 13, 2018, I noticed that the user LingLass created a Wikipedia article about me but left out several significant articles that other news organizations have published about me in the past. Since discovering my article, I created a Wikipedia account for the purposes of adding these other credible articles to my Wikipedia article. Please do not delete my article. I did not create this Wikipedia article about myself -- the user LingLass did. I am new to Wikipedia and did not understand the functionalities of the Talk Page. In the future, I will propose additional changes via the Talk Page. Thank you.
- Hi and welcome to Wikipedia Chentalsong. I am responding here to the talk page message you sent. Just so you know you will likely have to verify your identity - since anyone can register an account it's important to make sure you are who you say you are. By way of background LingLass wrote an article about the Honey Bunch Kids. I discovered this article while doing new page patrol. As I investigated the series, which falls in my main area of content creation (Children's literature), it seemed that the series did not meet our standard for book notability (notability being our term for what topics can and can't have their own Wikipedia pages) and so I nominated it for deletion. However in thinking about it further it seemed that while the series might not be notable you as a person might be and so I changed around the page to focus on you rather than the book series. A different new page patroller then looked at the article and placed the notability tag while also marking the page as reviewed, causing the article to show up in Google searches. From your message on my page and here it seems like you might have already read our guidance on editing about yourself at WP:AUTOBIO but if not I would encourage you to read it. Given the signficant changes you made I have placed a Conflict of Interest tag on the page for the moment as well as restoring the notability tag. I agree that certain groups have been historically underrepresented on Wikipedia but a neutral editor needs to make the decision to remove that tag not you. While I do not have any further plans at this time to edit the article if you have any questions I would be happy to do my best to answer them. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 22:06, 16 November 2018 (UTC)
@Barkeep49: Message text.
Thank you for your response. Should I delete the changes I made to the article? I don't want to create anymore issues.
- I think it's OK to leave them for now. Hopefully another editor (maybe LingLass?) will come along and help do some tidying up and improvement. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 22:30, 16 November 2018 (UTC)
Hi Barkeep49 and Chentalsong. Yes, I was about to hop on and note that it's frowned upon for folks to edit their own pages. I do like the changes that have been made, however. Let me see what I can do to hang on to the parts that meet Wikipedia's standards, and keep this page going. LingLass (talk) 02:53, 17 November 2018 (UTC)
@LingLass: Message text. Hi there. Thank you so much for your response and for your clarification. I truly appreciate your help.
