Album and single articles

edit

Please read WP:MUSIC and WP:CRYSTAL for guidelines about when it is appropriate to create album and single articles. The article about "Interpersonal" that you created is being deleted, because it has already been deleted by a deletion discussion (see WP:Articles for deletion/Interpersonal (Aliana Lohan Album). Your article about "Between You & Me" was restored to a redirect for the same reason. You also undid a redirect on Bullseye (song), even though that article completely failed WP:MUSIC#Songs. Please familiarize yourself with our guidelines before creating more articles.—Kww(talk) 19:27, 6 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the constructive critism but I would like to comment on the fact that I asked for any sufficient info on Interpersonal ali Lohan album and got nothing .I looked all over the internetfor info and got nothing. Please provide me info on the album to make a sufficient article.!!!!!!!--Cheverny (talk) 21:29, 6 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

No one can give you more information because the album is a complete hoax. Doesn't exist. No article can be written.
Please remember that Wikipedia articles should be written after you have sources, not before.—Kww(talk) 01:23, 13 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of "Www.nationmaster.com/encyclopedia/Interpersonal-(album) - 44k"

edit

A page you created, Www.nationmaster.com/encyclopedia/Interpersonal-(album) - 44k, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it has no content, other than external links, categories, "see also" sections, rephrasing of the title, and/or chat-like comments.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. WadeSimMiser (talk) 21:56, 6 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Nationmaster

edit

Nationmaster isn't an independent encyclopedia. They copy Wikipedia articles automatically, and, when the article gets deleted on Wikipedia, the copy in Nationmaster stays forever, at the last version they copied from here. Nationmaster articles can not be used as sources for Wikipedia articles.—Kww(talk) 01:18, 7 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Non-notable singles

edit

Please read WP:NSONGS for the guidelines on when a song merits an article. Winner (Karina Pasian song) clearly does not warrant an article, so it has been redirected.—Kww(talk) 23:27, 18 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading Image:Vanity cover.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 01:47, 21 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Vanity (Lady GaGa song)

edit

Again, please read WP:NSONGS, and understand the guidelines for when it is appropriate to create articles about singles and songs. Vanity (Lady GaGa song) clearly does not qualify.

You have been warned multiple times about creating inappropriate articles. If you continue to create inappropriate articles, you may be blocked from editing.—Kww(talk) 02:14, 21 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

My Outrage

edit

This was my image from my collection of images. I am getting tired of people deleting my images, my changes, and new articles when I adhered to the directions I was to follow and I am beginning to ask that my page be blocked from outside editors if possible because this is completely outrageous--Cheverny (talk) 01:13, 22 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Are you saying that you are the photographer of the image? If that is the case, you must release the image and provide its copyright status - see WP:ICTIC. If the image is just from "your collection", where did you get it from? If you found it on the internet, you can't just upload it and expect to use it. If you don't understand why or how this works, please ask. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 01:25, 22 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
I've been responsible for pointing out most of the things you've created that needed to be deleted, and I have tried to explain why every time. What instructions are you following? Why haven't you read any of the policies you have been pointed at, like WP:NSONGS, that would prevent you from posting song articles like "Vanity"; or WP:RS, which would have prevented you from writing articles about fake Ali Lohan albums; or WP:IUP that would have prevent you from adding copyrighted images to your user page?—Kww(talk) 01:39, 22 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
I've nominated the article you created about yourself for speedy deletion. Please take the time to read all the policies I've mentioned above, because you will be blocked if you continue editing the way you have been.—Kww(talk) 01:52, 22 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
It was moved to User:Cheverny/Chesaigne- User Chevergne instead. The image was removed, because copyrighted images are not permitted in user space.—Kww(talk) 02:49, 22 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Notability of Chesaigne- User Chevergne(Cheverny's extended page)

edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Chesaigne- User Chevergne(Cheverny's extended page), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Chesaigne- User Chevergne(Cheverny's extended page) seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Chesaigne- User Chevergne(Cheverny's extended page), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. To see the user who deleted the page, click here CSDWarnBot (talk) 02:10, 22 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi. The above page appeared to be a user page, but was instead posted as a Wikipedia article. I have deleted it but moved the content to User:Cheverny/Chesaigne- User Chevergne so you can include it (or not) at User:Cheverny instead. Euryalus (talk) 02:56, 22 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

See You Again

edit

Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to See You Again. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. NrDg 23:57, 29 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

The policies are as stated above in the wikilinked text and apply to everything that is contentious in an article. I removed genres originally that are only the opinions of editors based on only their evaluations. As I noted, that is prohibited by policy as original research. Find an article from a respected published review of the song that backs up your opinions and use that as a reference. --NrDg 00:08, 30 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:Faded(Cascada Cover).jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Faded(Cascada Cover).jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 03:25, 2 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Uploading images

edit

Please use WP:Upload to upload images and follow the directions on that page. Click on the proper answers to the questions. When you upload images that way the required proper license tags and fair-use justifications are automatically included on the image description page. You won't get bugged by the bots about missing information. --NrDg 04:36, 2 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Also please try to name the image something that makes sense to others and is somewhat descriptive about what the image is showing. Names like "Simg t ol83178x7mtu.jpg?rm DrYLCetB9200*200.jpg. Come Over cover.jpg" aren't really useful. --NrDg 04:43, 2 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Last Christmas (Cascada cover).jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Last Christmas (Cascada cover).jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Additionally, if you continue uploading bad images, you may be blocked from uploading. STBotI (talk) 02:01, 6 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Head of My Class

edit

A tag has been placed on Head of My Class requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a song which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. tomasz. 18:41, 7 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Head of My Class.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Head of My Class.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:21, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
