Pike

edit

I reverted your edits to the article Pike because you did not provide a source for Vernon Pike. If he is real, please provide a source, otherwise I will continue to revert your edits and consider them Wikipedia:Vandalism. Respectfully, Republitarian 15:44, 17 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

I removed it when you provided no link. After you provided the link I refrained from removing it. Dieter Simon removed the link most recently[1]. His rationale is explained in his edit summary: "There is no Wikipedia article for Vern Pike of any description/ Until such time there is such an article please do not red link it in any lists." As I did not remove the link this time, you're comment on my talkpage is incorrect. Please remove your comment from my talkpage and raise this dispute with Dieter Simon on his talk page. Hi Chevy20Man, re your finding fault with Republitarian for reverting your "red link" for Vernon Pike, it was me of course, not him who reverted the link. The reason I did was there is no Wikipedia main name space article for "Vernon Pike" or "Vern Pike", and all the time ther isn't one your link in the disambiguation article "Pike" to a non-existing article will always remain red, whether you in fact enter an external link, as you did, or not. We need a proper article written about "Vern(on) Pike" which you then can link in the "Pike" article otherwise it will always be removed by somebody or other. Why don't you do just that, write this article, youu seem to have all the data on him you need. It would be appreciated.
Have removed this from your User page and moved it to your User talk page. Sorry. Dieter Simon 23:39, 22 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
