Proposed deletion of Mahatma Gandhi's visit to Andipatti in 1934
editThe article Mahatma Gandhi's visit to Andipatti in 1934 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- He visited many places in his lifetime, this visit is no different from the normal one. Any important content should be added to the main page of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. A redirect isn't necessary in this case.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -SpacemanSpiffCalvin‡Hobbes 17:17, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
Mahatma Gandhi's visit to Andipatti in 1934
editDuring his life, Mahatma Gandhi would have visited too many places on the earth. Though many an article would have mentioned about his visits, only few articles detail the human interest stories that have happened during his visits. One such interesting human story is unfolded in the article: Mahatma Gandhi's visit to Andipatti in 1934. No doubt, as a mahatma, Gandhi should be glorified, but at the same time, any worthwile event of commoner in the society should also be highlighted suitably without getting diluted in the ocean of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi's biography! Knowing the importance of the event, Gandhi Museum - one of the biggest museums of India - has accepted the 'Welcome Address' (which is described in the Wikipedia article) as an exhibit.
