Speedy deletion nomination of Choose New Jersey

edit

Hello Choosenj,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Choose New Jersey for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Barney the barney barney (talk) 19:23, 30 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Basically two problems. The first is whether "Choose New Jersey" is notable; basically has it been covered by newspapers or other 3rd party sources? If so, please provide those sources. Secondly, you shouldn't be really editing your article. See WP:COI, WP:SPAM - there are legal implications involved. Thirdly, the article was overpromotional language (see WP:SOLUTIONS). Fourthly your username clearly associates you with "Choose New Jersey" and you might find yourself being asked to switch to a different username. To be fair to you, there is news coverage that could be used as references. Barney the barney barney (talk) 21:52, 30 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
It was pretty spammy and full of marketing-speak. Ask for a username change. Try looking at some other articles on similar subjects and see how they're written. Try editing other articles. Focus on verifiable facts - when and who. Don't put the article straight in but take it through WP:AFC first. Barney the barney barney (talk) 19:42, 1 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
