- Welcome!
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

- Manual of Style
- Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page to follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons' policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring and sock puppetry.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Deliberately adding such content or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of A Short Story and a Tall Tale, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.tv.com/description-a-short-story-and-a-tall-tale/webnews/149875.html?print=1.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Owen Armstrong
editAre you planning on adding any real world information to Owen Armstrong? It currently has non and therefore without any references or content cannot have it's own article as it stands.RAIN*the*ONE BAM 13:41, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
License tagging for File:CurlyWtts.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:CurlyWtts.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 22:06, 5 February 2011 (UTC)
Fictional character images
editWhat the hell are you doing with images for fictional characters? That image of Libby has NO FAIR USE explained, it's not appropiate this isn't. That Libby image is not named right, plus it's not even cropped to the right shape.RAIN*the*ONE BAM 17:40, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
Only add external links sections when there are some or some to add, only add break off storyline headers when there is a backstory present or the character has been present for more than one decade.RAIN*the*ONE BAM 18:22, 10 February 2011 (UTC)

editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, you are reminded not to attack other editors. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. You are welcome to rephrase your comment as a civil criticism of the article. Thank you. GSorby Chat with Me! 18:27, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:JohnStape2007.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:JohnStape2007.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. GSorby Chat with Me! 11:49, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

File copyright problem with File:PeterAndLeanne2011.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:PeterAndLeanne2011.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. GSorby Chat with Me! 18:10, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
- Stop uploading images and keep claiming them as your own. --GSorby Chat with Me! 18:12, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to upload media files lacking copyright information, as you did at File:Katieemmerdale.jpg, you may be blocked from editing. If you are unsure of the correct copyright template, please refer to the list of image copyright tags or ask at the copyright question page. Stop uploading images and claiming you own them, they're all going to be deleted. Your causing a real mess on Wikipedia. You can just ask for help and we will help you to upload them properley, but half the time they're not needed. RAIN*the*ONE BAM 20:41, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
This is your last warning; the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Leanne Battersby, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Removing introducer and changing duration dates RAIN*the*ONE BAM 22:00, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
Please do not continue to upload files missing information on their copyright status, as you did with File:SusanBarlowIn1981.jpg. Note that Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously and that the copyright status of all media files uploaded to Wikipedia must be verifiable by others. If you are unsure of the correct copyright template, please refer to the list of image copyright tags. If you would like to experiment with uploading files, please use the test Wikipedia. Thank you. Problems with upload of File:MayaSharma.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:MayaSharma.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.
To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
