Bot partially down
Hey. Just a heads up that the bot isn't updating the GAN page again. It is sending out GA review notes and the like, so it's not completely down at least. Wizardman 17:57, 1 August 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. Fixed --Chris 06:52, 2 August 2013 (UTC)

Request For GA Bot Task
Hi, my name is Dom497 and I am the founder of the Good Article Recruitment Centre. Without going into too much detail, one of the suggestions made to recruitees (the users wanting to learn how to review Good articles) is that they pick to review and nomination from one of the nominators in a list (found here) that have said that they are OK with a trainee reviewing one of their nominations. There was recently a case where a nominator that was not on this list got upset at the reviewer (the person learning how to review nominations) and caused the reviewer to back out of the recruitment. What I am requesting is that is there any way that you can add some code to the GA Bot that would list nominators (that are on the list I linked befor) nominations just to make it clearer which nominations trainees should be reviewing?
In short, can you add code that would list only Miyagawa, Gilderien, Wasted Time R, QatarStarsLeague, MasterOfHisOwnDomain, Sturmvogel_66, Rodw, Khazar2 nominations on a page (aside from the actual nomination page)?--Dom497 (talk) 22:57, 31 July 2013 (UTC)
- Is this what you're after? --Chris 06:51, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
- And the bot will keep updating the nominations on that page? And if another user adds their name to the list, will the bot automatically put their nominations in the list? Thanks!--Dom497 (talk) 11:58, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, and yes. --Chris 13:21, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks!--Dom497 (talk) 02:27, 3 August 2013 (UTC)

Malfunctioning
After another editor and myself had to revert re-assessments to Good Article status when the two reviews were blank, the bot started adding the reviews by Dr. Kadzi as "on review" every 10 minutes. It is also updating his review count each time. SL93 (talk) 22:17, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
Minor process issue with GA bot
Hi, Occupy (book) was renamed mid review, and this may have caused a process issue for the GA bot. I wouldn't count this as a bug, as no point coding for such a rare event. I think I've done all the important changes manually, but just letting you know in case you wanted to manually update the bot's stats, or in case there's anything I missed. Thanks for maintaining this very useful bot! FeydHuxtable (talk) 07:30, 12 August 2013 (UTC)
GA Bot
Hi again, User:GimmeBot was the bot that helped keep lists like this updated with the correct number of articles in that section (the small number following the last article in the section). Unfortunately, that bot no longer works and I was wondering if the GA Bot could take over with updating the numbers without reviewers having to manually update it after passing a nomination. You already did one favour for me so I if you don't want to do this I completely understand. :) --Dom497 (talk) 14:32, 12 August 2013 (UTC)
Auto-sign issue
Perhaps the bot isn't recognizing lcfirst or something? [1] –xenotalk 17:27, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
- Yup, it was the lower case that was putting the bot off. It should be Fixed now. However the toolserver is acting up at the moment, so the bot will be down for a bit. --Chris 02:21, 3 August 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks muchly. The bot now seems to be having a little nap. –xenotalk 02:59, 8 August 2013 (UTC)

- Ugh, a combination of the above mentioned database problems, and a lack of error checking. Sorry, I'll try and fix that soon. --Chris 11:36, 16 August 2013 (UTC)
RFC bot enhancement request
Hello Chris! I've recently re-added my self to the "all RFC " list, and would like to request an enhancement feature. I would like an optional parameter I can define with the template to have the message delivered in a "collapsed" version with the header just being a link to the RFC. Thanks, Technical 13 (talk) 17:43, 9 August 2013 (UTC)

Ok, I'll add that to my todo list. --Chris 11:38, 16 August 2013 (UTC)

GA bot exclusion compliant?
The BRFA says that bot is, however I received a notification on my talk page from the bot. I have {{bots|optout=orfud|deny=GA bot,BracketBot}} on my talk page because I don't want notices from the bot, so if the bot is exclusion compliant, why did I get a notice earlier?
