Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Hey SamHolt6, could you please point out more concrete, which part sounds like an advertisement and how I can improve it. I changed lots since your last review. Thanks ChristinFrohne (talk) 14:57, 18 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:Logo of the software company TypeFox.png

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Logo of the software company TypeFox.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 11:16, 19 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Logo of the software company TypeFox.png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Logo of the software company TypeFox.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:37, 19 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Full compliance with WP:COI and WP:PAID

edit

Hello. I noticed on your userpage that you have disclosed being paid to make edits to Wikipedia. This is a good start, but please note that (per WP:PAID) you must disclose not only your employer, but also which articles you have been paid to edit, you client (if you are, say, a freelacer), and list the service you are being paid through. Please do so at the earliest possible convenience.--SamHolt6 (talk) 15:57, 21 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

SamHolt6 sorry I didn't know that I have to disclose anything else. Thanks for telling me. I edited my userpage now. Is there anything else which I can improve in the article or would you accept it now? Thanks for your feedback ChristinFrohne (talk) 08:51, 22 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Edit Request mechanism

edit

@ChristinFrohne: I suggest you use Wikipedia:Edit requests in the future to request changes to the Eclipse Theia article. You seem to be in the process of building your brand by promoting your product on Wikipedia which is against Wikipedia Terms of Use. Edit Requests are the standard way that Wikipedia uses to enable paid editors to request changes to the article. Edit requests are posted to the talk page and suitable not involved editor will come along and review them and if they are suitable, the changes will be rolled into the article. scope_creepTalk 08:07, 28 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Scope creep: thanks for your advise. I just wanted to update the page with recent information, but I understand that it can seem promotional. Next time, I will definitely use Wikipedia:Edit requests. I didn't know about it before. But in my opinion, the article needs the application section. It underlines its usage and the notability of the entry. ChristinFrohne (talk) 08:41, 28 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi ChristinFrohne, I understand and it seems reasonable, and I could be wrong about removing it. I'm a software guy, a software engineer myself, and it took me a long time in the beginning, to accept the removal of some software articles that I thought were alright and it still depresses me a bit even now, but I understand the reasons for it. If you put it in the Edit Request, and if its good, it will go in. It should only take a couple of days for somebody to come along. Hope that helps!! scope_creepTalk 08:54, 28 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Draft:Typefox concern

edit

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Typefox, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 21:35, 19 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Draft:Typefox

edit

Hello, ChristinFrohne. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Typefox".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! CASSIOPEIA(talk) 08:02, 2 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
