Zayo Group
editHi, thanks for message. I deleted your article because
- it did not provide adequate independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Much of the spammier parts of the text were unreferenced. Denver Business Journal (as per 2012, 2013) without dates, title or weblink is useless. Incidentally, "Accomplishments" seems to be scraping the bottom of the barrel a bit. "We are big in Boulder" impresses no one, and "big in Colorado" isn't much better. National or international recognition is one thing, being supported by local media is another
- it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. You have the above mentioned "Accomplishments", but nothing on criticisms of the group. The text concentrates on what you are selling, employee numbers are relegated to an infobox and financial stuff to a bunch of external links, so we are not even given profit/turnover figures. There shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections, and invitations to click through to your website are not acceptable
- it's also spammy that almost the only wikilinks you have put in are to your own companies. I think it's possible that, say, internet might have an article. If your customers are too non-notable to have a Wikipedia article, it's probably not worth listing them.
- as we are a business—You have an obvious conflict of interest when it comes to editing articles about this subject. Thank you for declaring your interest. If, after reading the information about notability linked above, you still believe that your organisation is notable enough for a Wikipedia article (and that there is significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources), you could, if you wish, post a request at Wikipedia:Requested articles for the article to be created. See also Wikipedia:Best practices for editors with conflicts of interest.
I've seen worse, and I'll restore the text here shortly for you to work on. I'll make a couple of minor MoS changes to headings and bolding. If you want my comments at any stage, let me know Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:47, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
- OK, that's done. I should have said that bulleted lists are undesirable, write in normal prose. I made these minor formatting changes, cheers Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:55, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
