http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Javanese_people - checkout the outdated population list - you are probably about 55 to 60 million out there :( (allowing for the population of sundanese and other dialects being of some substance) - also when making the claims you have put in - please consider using WP:RS unless you want to get reverted - cheers SatuSuro 01:17, 5 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

OK so you are putting material in that looks like copyvio - please note uncited/unfootnoed material will be reverted - and please try very hard to get a handle on your population error and your grammatical errors - just try WP:RS and WP:CITE for a start - the information does not come out of thin air - and please do not put external links inside articles - the ref system is proper WP:MOS - thanks SatuSuro 01:32, 5 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Do you understand what talk is about? do you know how to use it? good idea to try if you want to get help with the problem of adding errors into the Javanese script article - cheers SatuSuro 01:38, 5 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Assigment?

edit

Assessment: -

  • (1) no reliable sources either cited or added - despite adding material to article
  • (2) no response to quieries by another editor regarding the veracity of the information added
  • (3) no understanding of the size of the population of javanese speaking and or reading citizens in indonesia
  • (4) misuse of wikipedia article by adding incorrect information and not showing any sign of correcting when alerted to issue

Assignment?

edit

Wikipedia is essentially a collaborative venture where the community actually requires communication between editors - not solitary isolated contributions - your lack of communicating with other editors or acknowledging any items on your talk page suggest that you have a limited understanding about what wikipedia is about.

The lead paragraph was basically by an admin gutted because the information there as a summary which had no backup in the article. Your leaving it out after the revert suggests you need to read WP:LEAD and even get an idea what is needed there.

The references you have added may be fine for you or your level of study but for Wikipedia purposes is lost on any proper understanding of WP:V or WP:RS as there is not a page number to back up.

Reinserting further in the text that there are 8 million users of Javanese script without a WP:CITE suggests either very perverse sense of humour or a basic lack of understanding of what and where Indonesia is - simply reiterating that in the body of the text suggest you have not really understood much about Javanese people or their culture.

There are over 80 million javanese people (possibly 120) - and their basic language (mother tongue) is javanese - actual literacy in javanese script might be what soemarmo is referring to - but you have made no attempt to discriminate between actual users of the spoken language and the actual known numbers of the population who may be literate in the script. A major issue for an article like the one you have been editing.

If I was an assessor I would ask you to start again and have a very close look at what you have done. SatuSuro 04:25, 6 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hey Frank. I looked the page over, and to me everything seemed okay. I just added a link or two where they seemed necessary. Otherwise, to someone who is not an expert and is just looking for some informative information, everything seemed okay. Please check out the talk page from the article itself, also.
