I am adding the under construction editing logo to assist other people in Wikipedia to understand what is going on.
I have not started a new page from scratch before. I am acting in good faith. Any assistance would be appreciated.
QUESTION: What about citing media sources that are not available on the internet? Newspapers and news stations only put a part of their articles in their on-line pages. Claffey27 (talk) 05:15, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
- Please create the article in your userspace or offline (I use Microsoft Word to write my articles because of its spellchecker), then create the article - reserving space is unnecessary.". Does he meet the encyclopedia's notability criteria - what is he noted for?
- You can cite offline sources such as newspapers. I find it easier to use templates, e.g. <ref>{{cite news |first=Joe |last=Bloggs |title=How to use citation templates |publisher=''[[The Washington Post]]'' |page=24 |date=4 August 2007}}</ref> produces a reference like:
- Bloggs, Joe (4 August 2007). "How to use citation templates". The Washington Post. p. 24.
{{cite news}}
: Italic or bold markup not allowed in:|publisher=
(help)
- Bloggs, Joe (4 August 2007). "How to use citation templates". The Washington Post. p. 24.
- Let me know if you need any help. I have added a welcome template below with some more helpful links. Somno (talk) 07:22, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
