Hello Claire Kairys, and welcome to Wikipedia. I thought since you were new to the project I'd mention a few things which can improve your editing.

• This is an internal link and this and external link and they should be used differently; so, for example, whilst it is normal to link something International Health Partnership with an internal link in the main text, an external link should not be used there.
• When using <ref></ref> tags, it is best to use the {{cite web}} template so you can present all the appropriate information about the reference, such as the title and publisher, and access date in case the link goes dead at some future point. Following that link will give you more information on how to use the template. Be aware also that a reference ought to support the factual information provided, such as what the IHP does, rather than merely lining to the homepage.
• Be careful about the weight given to a project – particularly if you are personally involved with it – within the wider context of an article. It is unlikely that the same text is relevant to several pages in the same form or length. An appropriate length ought to reflect the importance of a particular project (for example) in the wider literature about the subject.
• Where an internal link is used in the main text, it should not appear in a "See also" section.

Advertisement message

Hello, many thanks for the suggestions. I am wondering how to update the International Health Partnership Wikipedia page without incurring the advertisement message on the top of the page? Do you have any suggestions? What types of edits should I make in order to get this message removed from the page?

Hi, sorry - I missed your post five days ago. The shrot answer is that any editor can remove the tag, but this ought not to be you; it's up to an individual editor's judgement. At the moment the article is still worded quite a lot like an advert. This is primarily a question of tone, not particularly content. In general the article does not read like an encyclopedia – it reads like it could be the website of the IHP; particularly it contains a lot of statements akin to mission statements without critically analysing the role: lots of "puff" about bold aims and objectives. It needs more facts about what the IHP has actually done. For this, concentrate on third-party sources: news websites and journal articles (there are some already, but more would help).
