editIf you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page. kingboyk (talk) 03:39, 4 August 2019 (UTC)Help me!
edit{{help me}} Please help me with... I am trying to figure out why the entry for my non-profit has been blocked. ClassroomGiving (talk) 19:14, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
- I need help with this matter. ClassroomGiving (talk) 19:22, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
- This has all been explained above. You wrote an advertisement and based on your username, that is your only purpose here. Users who are not here to build an encyclopedia are blocked. ~Swarm~ {sting} 19:25, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
- I did not understand the rule. I did not intend to advertise. How can i fix that? This is a small non-profit organization. I am just trying to explain to the public what this non-profit is. ClassroomGiving (talk) 19:28, 26 October 2022 (UTC)

- You didn't create an article("entry"), you edited your user page("User:ClassroomGiving") which is for telling about yourself as a Wikipedia editor I think you have confused creating an article with creating an account. You will need to change your username immediately to something individualistic; if you tell me, I can change it for you.
- You will need to use Articles for Creation to create and submit a draft article- but based on your deleted text, you fundamentally misunderstand what Wikipedia is. It is not a place for organizations(profit or nonprofit) to tell the world about themselves. A Wikipedia article about an organization must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about an organization, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable organization. We want to know what others say about the organization, not what it says about itself. Press releases, announcements of routine activities, interviews, and the like do not establish notability. Please read Your First Article and use the new user tutorial to learn more about Wikipedia. 331dot (talk) 19:29, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
- "Explain to the public what the nonprofit is" is a form of promotion and not permitted on Wikipedia. 331dot (talk) 19:30, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
- you indicated that it is important what others say about the organization. There are many articles about Classroom Giving. should I submit those? how? ClassroomGiving (talk) 19:35, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
- Let's deal with your username first. 331dot (talk) 19:38, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
- okay. The name of the non-profit is Classroom Giving. what should I change the name to? ClassroomGiving (talk) 19:32, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
- Accounts are not for organizations, accounts are for individuals. Your username needs to be something individualistic, though we discourage using your real name. A name such as "JohnPublic of ClassroomGiving" would be fine. Your account name needs to represent that it is used by a specific individual who gives no one else access. As I said, you have confused creating an article with creating an account. 331dot (talk) 19:35, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
- okay. can you change it for me? ClassroomGiving (talk) 19:37, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
- I can change it when you tell me what you want to change it to. 331dot (talk) 19:37, 26 October 2022 (UTC)

- Okay, you have been renamed. I'm going to have a little bit of a reply here, please wait a moment. 331dot (talk) 19:44, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
- Okay. Thank you. waiting. Ben Adam of Classroom Giving (talk) 19:47, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
- As I said, you had edited your user page. Your user page is not an article. It is a place for the named person to tell about themselves as a Wikipedia editor or user. New accounts cannot directly create articles and must submit drafts via WP:AFC. You have the added complication of having a conflict of interest. Please read the conflict of interest policy. If you are compensated in any manner by the nonprofit, the Terms of Use require you to make a formal paid editing disclosure, please read the paid editing policy.
- As I said, you fundmentally misunderstand what Wikipedia is. Wikipedia is not for organizations to explain to the public who they are and what they do. Based on your comment about it being a "small" organization, I very much doubt it meets the criteria for a Wikipedia article. Please read those criteria. To merit a Wikipedia article, it must receive significant coverage in independent reliable sources that have chosen on their own to provide such coverage- and must not be press releases, interviews, brief mentions, announcements of routine activities, or primary sources.
- I strongly urge you to read Your First Article and use the new user tutorial to learn more about Wikipedia before attempting to write a new article- which is the most difficult thing to do on Wikipedia even without a conflict of interest. 331dot (talk) 19:52, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
- okay. understood. Thank you for all your help. Ben Adam of Classroom Giving (talk) 19:56, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
