initial archiving delay?

I set up archiving for a number of talk pages recently, and most of them worked, but not this one. The Help page does document some initial delay, but it seems inconsistent. Are there any publicly available logs of the bot run that we could examine to figure out if we've done something wrong? --Joy (talk) 09:46, 13 June 2024 (UTC)

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at List of programs broadcast by Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been did not reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. So not only do you send a templated warning to an anti-vandal bot which has reverted you, but you also attempted to sign your template with that of another IP address... yea, that's clever - RichT|C|E-Mail 15:15, 24 June 2024 (UTC)

False positive form is 404ing

Hi there! I was looking to report a false positive from the bot, but following the external link on the false positives page (namely https://cluebotng.toolforge.org/) leads to a page that tries to load for a while but eventually gives a 404. Has the form moved elsewhere or is it just not available at the moment? J11csd (talk) 10:05, 7 July 2024 (UTC)

According to User talk:ClueBot Commons/Archives/2024/June, it was said Rich Smith restarted the web service so I may assume it was working again. I've tried clicking on this link but I can also see the '404 Not Found' information page, saying The URL you have requested, https://cluebotng.toolforge.org/?page=View&id=4334241, doesn't seem to actually exist.. As done so last month by someone else pinging the relevant users, I shall ping the owners (@Rich Smith and DamianZaremba:) so they are aware of this return of the 404 error. Who says IT problems come less than a month apart? Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 21:39, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
Thanks for the ping, I've given it another kick... I'll speak to Damian and the Toolserver admins to see why it keeps falling over - RichT|C|E-Mail 16:57, 8 July 2024 (UTC)

Delay in archiving

Could someone more familiar with the bot offer input at Help talk:Archiving (plain and simple)#Immediate archiving vs. the unknown waiting period? An editor asks, "When editing a talk page to initiate bot archiving, I used the suggestion command for Cluebot several days ago (Talk:Propolis) and see today that nothing has happened. Is there a way to trigger archiving immediately within the first seconds/minutes of saving the talk page edit"?(8 July 2024) It's a valid question, but I have no idea. I'm so sorry for hating on you

I am super Super Super Sorry for ruining you. Please forgive me 14.102.171.218 (talk) 17:06, 8 July 2024 (UTC)

Read the template at the top.
This is the talk page for a bot, you will not get a response from Cluebot. You may get a response from another human. 24.115.255.37 (talk) 05:02, 13 July 2024 (UTC)

Archival not working for some sections

I have configured ClueBot III to archive my talk page after 90 days. While that works fine in general, I notice that the first two threads currently on top of the page (both feedback requests from Yapperbot) weren't archived, even though more than 90 days have passed and some threads that ended later have already been archived. Does anyone have an idea what's wrong there? Some earlier feedback requests were archived just fine. Gawaon (talk) 09:00, 14 July 2024 (UTC)

Reviewing help

Hello there, I was wondering if I could help reviewing the false positives. About a week ago, I went to the reviewing interface and it just says "Your account is pending approval". I was wondering if there was something I needed to do, or a permission I needed to ask, to help reviewing. Cheers, — Alien333 (what I did & why I did it wrong) 12:59, 18 July 2024 (UTC)

Someone vandalised the Pterosaurs article...

Some creationist-promoter vandalised the pterosaurs page by deliberately inserting false and inaccurate information https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pterosaur&diff=prev&oldid=1235559410 . Can you please revert and fix the issue? BoiaBoiaMans (talk) 00:03, 20 July 2024 (UTC)

@BoiaBoiaMans: ClueBot NG is a bot and not a human, and cannot respond to these queries. If you see vandalism, please revert it yourself. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 15:29, 20 July 2024 (UTC)

Archive page not conforming to format

Hello, I am trying to activate ClueBot III on this archive where it should be listed here. Is there a tag I can use to have it indexed and listed on the main talk page, or does it have to conform to format=Y? Is there a recommended workaround if not? Tule-hog (talk) 02:02, 25 July 2024 (UTC)

It appears to have worked fine, just needed to wait a while. Tule-hog (talk) 08:32, 26 July 2024 (UTC)
(If this does not conform to Wikipedia operating procedures, please let me know!) Tule-hog (talk) 08:39, 26 July 2024 (UTC)

Procedure when a page is moved

Hello, I recently moved Steph Scully from Talk:Stephanie Scully to Talk:Steph Scully and it appears this move broke the ClueBot III archiving template. I tried to fix it by chanigng the page name in the template, but it did not seem to work. Would creating redirects for the archive pages fix it? Do I need to move and edit ClueBot's index as well? I guess what I am asking is, Is there a procedure somewhere for the proper steps to take when a page archived by this bot is moved to avoid this? Bensci54 (talk) 17:14, 25 July 2024 (UTC)

I suppose the existing archive pages are still at the old location, so you'll need to move them too? Gawaon (talk) 17:32, 25 July 2024 (UTC)
I did move them at the same time, yes. I ended up moving the ClueBot Index and redoing the links on the Index. The archive section of the talk page is now showing links properly again.
I didn't touch the detailed index, etc, though, will that cause any issues? Bensci54 (talk) 19:45, 25 July 2024 (UTC)
