  Hello. Your recent edit to Mike Hall appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. COI, and your purpose for editing at Wikipedia

edit

  Hello, CoachMHall. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. 2601:188:180:1481:5D63:2B25:812D:39A4 (talk) 14:21, 12 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Ways to improve Mike Hall (powerlifter)

edit

Thanks for creating Mike Hall (powerlifter).

A New Page Patroller Rosguill just tagged the page as having some issues to fix, and wrote this note for you:

Some of the citations, such as citations to other wikipedia articles, are not reliable sources and should be replaced with better quality sources. Additionally, please make sure that you are familiar with wikipedia's policies about editing topics that you may have a conflict of interest with.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can reply over here and ping me. Or, for broader editing help, you can talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Proposed deletion of Mike Hall (powerlifter)

edit

The article Mike Hall (powerlifter) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This article fails to meet Wikipedia's general notability guidelines for biographies about living people. It would not be practical to merge this article with another one. The only significant contributer to this article appears to be Mike Hall himself, and each of his account's contributions have only been for this article. Consequently, this leads me to beleive this article exists mostly as a form of advertisement/promotion - which is one of the criteria for speedy deletion. Additionally, this article appears to be filled with irrelevant and other information generally not considered encyclopedic. There does not appear to be any verifiable and reliable resources that exist to suggest the individual is noteworthy - a simple Google search of his name provides limited related results. Some of the references provided appear to constitute original research.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. 75.119.251.69 (talk) 21:13, 14 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
