Hey Mccapra. The article was partially translated from the es.wiki article, my bad. Could you point me in the direction of that template? Thanks. |
- No worries. I’ve added the template to the article talk page. Any time you part translate from another wiki you need to use the same template on the article talk page. Happy editing! Mccapra (talk) 20:49, 16 June 2020 (UTC)
Draft:Iván Enrique Rodríguez | Recommendation
editDear Coffeycp I hope you're well! I'm passing by because I saw you're interests are arts and culture. I am trying to build a compendium of Puerto Rican composers to add in Wikipedia. I started with Draft:Iván Enrique Rodríguez. Could you read it and see if its ready to be accepted? It has been hard to Put this together becasue the systemic discrimination has made difficult for non-white composers to comply with the WP:Composers standards but that doesn't mean that the composers themselves have achieved international notoriety. Ireally hope to hear back from you! Thanks--MahlerLover (talk) 21:18, 27 August 2020 (UTC)
@MahlerLover: I think it is a very commendable project you are working on. I have never used the WikiProject Articles for Creation resource, so I may not be the best editor to ask. It appears that I cannot review the article officially through the WP Articles for Creation function, as I am not a participant in that WikiProject. I do think that the article looks publishable to me. There are some minor issues with wording that could be polished, but I think notability is definitely established and any challengeable statements are backed up with sources. While I am sure that the WP Articles for Creation process produces more polished articles, if that process does not work for you as an editor then you may want to bypass it in the future. Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help. Coffeycp 28 August 2020
Dear Coffeycp Thank you so so much for your ecouragement! I honestly believe that something like this should be done because the classical music world is going though a change and the only way to include people of color in that change is to recognize their notability within with justice! Could you let me know how this process can be bypassed? I have been having trouble with an user that keeps blocking my stuff and after doing some reaserch on him, he seems to have quite an antiquated view and problematic oppinions on race and difference of ideologiez... quite right-leaning to be honest. --MahlerLover (talk) 15:09, 28 August 2020 (UTC)
@MahlerLover: I'm really not sure what you can once you have started the WP Articles for Creation process on a draft. You may have to wait for an editor that is part of the project other than the user who is giving you trouble to approve the article. The bypassing that I refer to is simply not engaging in the draft process at play in the WP Articles for Creation in the first place. You can simply create an article directly into the main article space without drafting it. Of course, any article that does not meet Wikipedia's standards will be nominated for deletion, but I believe that yours does. You can visit Wikipedia:Article development or Help:Your first article for more detailed information about publishing an article. You may also want to consult a more experienced editor, as I have no experience with the drafting process. You could try posting in the Wikipedia:WikiProject Puerto Rico talk page or searching for other help resources. Coffeycp 28 August 2020
