Please do not add spammy external links to articles, such as you did at List of flashcard software. Thanks! Syrthiss (talk) 15:03, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
- Well my intention was not to spam a wikipedia page at all. Yes I did put a link in List of flashcard software. The reason is that I found the creation of audio flashcards very easy in this online software than for example Anki, as the latter has a "buggy relationship" with its preferred media player, mplayer. As a result, I think online software resources might some times be better than offline ones for certain aspects. So it would be nice to give a link to such online resources in the List of flashcard software. This might be very important for example if someone needs study flashcards however if they don't have the admin/root privilages for installing these listed flashcard software for the computer that they are using. Regarding linking to these online resources, the best option I think is finding the related google directory listings and linking to that. Do you have any suggestions, comments? - No, I assumed it was a good faith addition, but wanted to leave you a note anyhow since those list articles tend to get bogged down if we start letting non-notable items in. I'm not familiar with the google directory listings, though I think I have seen people do that on other list articles. Can you explain that a little more? Syrthiss (talk) 17:40, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
