The article List of tariffs in the United Kingdom has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Unsourced and doesn't explain how all of these are tariffs, and not missing any others, i.e. there is no inclusion criteria.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. wumbolo ^^^ 23:58, 30 June 2018 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for October 28
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Roy Jenkins, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Scarborough (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 07:34, 28 October 2019 (UTC)

editCopying public domain material requires attribution
editHello Britannicus. In the future, please add attribution when copying from public domain sources: simply add the template {{PD-notice}}
after your citation. I have done so for William Sanderson (historian). Please do this in the future so that patrollers and our readers will be aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself, and that it's okay to copy verbatim. Thanks, — Diannaa (talk) 15:31, 6 February 2021 (UTC)
Peter Douglas Brown-Book of Kells/Dublin librarian?
editHello Coningsby, I'm an editor with an interest in the Book of Kells article. While editing the article, I've been using a short 1980 book by one Peter Brown, who was the head Librarian at Trinity Dublin from 1970 until his death in 1984.
This leads me to the Peter Douglas Brown article, which you recently created. I think that the Trinity Dublin librarian-and-Book-of-Kells-book author MAY be the same person as the article's historian of 18th century Britain, as described in the current article and Library of Congress page reference. However I have some skepticism about library data pages, which leads to my request. If you have access to the other texts cited as references in the Peter Douglas Brown article (Chathamites, William Pitt etc), I'd be interested to know if you can find any author details which might confirm or deny the connection; Peter Brown is a very common English name which can lead to confusion. I started a talk page on this topic at the Peter Douglas Brown article itself, and also added stuff at the Book of Kells talk page. Kind regards, MinnesotanUser (talk) 04:49, 9 July 2021 (UTC)

Looking for a reference.
editHey there,
in Special:diff/827408345 on the controversies of the BBC you added a reference to Campbell, p. 405. Any chance you still recall which book that was? JackTheSecond (talk) 19:34, 28 March 2024 (UTC)
Also, somewhere between Special:diff/827463497 and Special:diff/827143614 you referenced 'Moore, Volume Two' which I am having trouble finding. JackTheSecond (talk) 19:37, 28 March 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, the references are John Campbell, Margaret Thatcher, Volume Two: The Iron Lady (London: Jonathan Cape, 2003) and Charles Moore, Margaret Thatcher, Volume Two: Everything She Wants (London: Allen Lane, 2015). Thank you.--Coningsby (talk) 15:10, 30 March 2024 (UTC)
