References

Please take back to your class that we here at Wikipedia typically use secondary sources rather than primary ones. If you are not sure the difference please take some time to read before editing further. This guideline is helpful WP:MEDRS --Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 01:20, 4 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thank You

Thank you very much for your prompt response. I will endeavour to make it work. So if I used the same information and used secondary sources it will be ok then? Correct? I was so disappointed because I spent quite a bit of time reading and trying to understand how to edit as well as gathering the necessary information.

Thanks again. I will edit and repost. Cheers, Convexrook

A couple of things

edit
  1. References as mentioned above must be recent review articles / major textbooks ( not primary sources ). Please read if you do not know the difference.
  2. Wikipedia has a certain layout of sections for diseases related articles (both with respect to heading names and ordering) [1] I would recommend that you read all of this page and maybe print it out and give it to your teacher.

Thanks --Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 18:50, 4 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Queens University

Welcome to Wikipedia. I am wondering if you class is aware of the Wikipedia Education Program for classes who are editing [2]. If you are registered we are than able to better provide feedback and support to your class as a whole. Does your prof. edit here as well? Wondering if you could put me in touch with him or her. Many thanks. --Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 21:34, 6 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia Help Survey

edit

Hi there, my name's Peter Coombe and I'm a Wikimedia Community Fellow working on a project to improve Wikipedia's help system. At the moment I'm trying to learn more about how people use and find the current help pages. If you could help by filling out this brief survey about your experiences, I'd be very grateful. It should take less than 10 minutes, and your responses will not be tied to your username in any way.

Thank you for your time,
