This remains essentially an advertisement, with no outside references providing substantial coverage from 3rd party independent published reliable sources, print or online, but not blogs or press releases, or material derived from press releases.

A Wikipedia article needs to show notability with references providing substantial coverage from 3rd party independent published reliable sources, print or online, but not blogs or press releases, or material derived from press releases.

A Wikipedia article needs to be written like an encyclopedia article, not a press release--don't praise the organization or person, say what they do. Don't talk about the overall importance of the subject--talk about what they have accomplished. Remember not to copy from a web site, even your own -- first it's a copyright violation, but, even if you own the copyright and are willing to give us permission according to WP:DCM, the tone will not be encyclopedic and the material will not be suitable. (Thus, there is generally no purpose in giving permission; it is better to rewrite.)

Include only material that would be of interest to a general reader coming across the mention of the subject and wanting the sort of information that would be found in an encyclopedia. Do not include material that would be of interest only to those associated with the subject, or to prospective clients/purchasers/students--that sort of content is considered promotional.

As a general rule, a suitable page will be best written by someone without Conflict of Interest; it's not impossible to do it properly with a conflict of interest or as a paid press agent, but it's relatively more difficult: you are automatically thinking in terms of what the subject wishes to communicate to the public, but an uninvolved person will think in terms of what the public might wish to know. And keep in mind that the goal of an encyclopedia is to say things in a concise manner, which is not the style of press releases or web sites, which are usually more expansive.

Please do not resubmit it until you fix the problems DGG ( talk ) 01:43, 19 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

I have asked an admin to fix the issue of now having two of the same article being submitted to Articles for Creation (first, Certeon and second, Cooney_shawn). You may have done this accidentally, and not realised what happened. We strongly recommend using the "Show Preview" button before saving changes or additions to a page, especially when cutting and pasting. And then actually checking whether everything is ok before you hit "Save page"! Your article is problematic - DGG has given you good advice, above, I will not repeat it here - but please read it carefully, and also the comments I left on your latest submission: just follow the link to the article in the above box. The admin will, I expect, find a way to combine the articles into one submission, hopefully retaining those comments, so the page might not be exactly the same, and may well link to Certeon instead; you should still be able to find it. Please do realise that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a free advertising platform with which to promote a business. If you need any further help, ask at the WP:Teahouse as mentioned above, or you can ask me. Regards, David_FLXD (Talk) 18:03, 26 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your article submission Certeon (2)

edit

Hello Cooney shawn. It has been over six months since you last edited your article submission, entitled Certeon (2).

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note, however, that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Certeon (2)}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 00:33, 5 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
