To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your userpage.

Your submission at AfC DishNET was accepted

DishNET, which you submitted to Articles for creation, has been created.

You are more than welcome to continue making quality contributions to Wikipedia. Note that because you are a logged-in user, you can create articles yourself, and don't have to post a request. However, you may continue submitting work to Articles for Creation if you prefer.

Thank you for helping improve Wikipedia!

Issues with your editing practices

edit

Firstly, on Hopper (DVR); we do not move pages like that to "increase visibility"; you can redirect alternate terms.

Secondly, on the same article, the changes you have made go against style and read like PR copy (particularly the awards list, which even has trademark symbols (that is also not allowed). Articles have to be neutrally worded and presented; the use of a "controversies" section in this context is inappropriate, because it is part of the reception. Additionally, also per the manual of style, the company must still be referred to as Dish Network ("DISH" is a stylization, and does not stand for anything). Also, do not "overlink".

Thirdly, your citation style is a little wonky. The work/publisher field uses the actual name of the site, not the URL to it.

Fourth, certain details (particularly features) were already mentioned, just not in flowery PR speak.

Also, I must also ask, are you by any chance a Dish Network employee? If you are, please read WP:COI. ViperSnake151  Talk  22:52, 24 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello ViperSnake151, thanks for your feedback.

I changed the name of the page since Hopper (DVR) is not the full name of the product and it can therefore be hard to find for people searching. I will go for the redirection if it seems better to you! I understand what you mean about the "awards section", I saw you deleted it already; same for Dish Network instead of "DISH", I will take care of the required changes. Thank you very much for your time and consideration, Corrinagentry (talk) 08:55, 28 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
