Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, CosmicCipher77. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Draft:Loretto (artist), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:47, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, I do not know the artist as he is already very secretive. I have been a big fan of his work, but noticed he does not have a wiki page, so decided to create one. CosmicCipher77 (talk) 14:49, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
- Fair nuf. Thanks. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 14:51, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
- If I make any changes, will it be accepted or nah ? CosmicCipher77 (talk) 14:58, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
- I'd say there's a good chance it will be accepted, yes. Notability is the main thing we look for, and the sources look sufficient (okay, most of them don't really provide the sort of significant coverage that is required, but IMO enough of them do). If you could just dial down the fandom a bit, and replace the Mail citation with a better source, you can then ping me and I'll probably be able to accept it. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 15:03, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for your valuable feedback. I have removed the fandom, the invalid references and reworded some sections. Please can you take a look now. CosmicCipher77 (talk) 11:18, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
- Okay, if you resubmit it, and if I happen to be the first reviewer at the scene, I'll accept it. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 11:33, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
- Just done it now, cheers. CosmicCipher77 (talk) 11:43, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
