Introduction to contentious topics
editYou have recently edited a page related to post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

- Please also be aware of the "enforced BRD restriction" at that article, which you have already breached.
Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 17:19, 11 June 2024 (UTC)You must follow the bold-revert-discuss cycle if your change is reverted. You may not reinstate your edit until you post a talk page message discussing your edit and have waited 24 hours from the time of this talk page message.
- Am I not allowed to add true content on a page? Is there something I'm missing? Are you saying that I should discuss why my edit is truthful and should be on there before editing? Help me understand, please. CosmoCreeper249 (talk) 17:31, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
- The restriction requires all editors to do this:
- Edit according to your best judgment
- If one of your changes at that article is reverted (undone), post at the talk page to say why you think your edit was good
- Do not redo that reverted edit until at least 24 hours after your talk page post
- Hope this helps! Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 17:35, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks! CosmoCreeper249 (talk) 17:37, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
- The restriction requires all editors to do this:
- I see edit warring, which is disruptive behaviour, but there is no breach of BRD restriction. Politrukki (talk) 23:57, 11 June 2024 (UTC)

Hunter Biden - Conviction Edit.
editI have recently edited Hunter Biden's Wikipedia page to be up-to-date with the recent conviction. It was soon reversed. Here is why I think that the page should include the recent conviction. I believe that every page should be up-to-date with content that gives the reader information about the subject. I feel that if you do not give the reader accurate, detailed, and essential content, it will be the same as lying to the reader. I in no way intend to share any political opinions in my edit of the page. CosmoCreeper249 (talk) 20:51, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hi CosmoCreeper249. The best place to say this would be at the bottom of Talk:Hunter Biden#Convicted felon in opening sentence. Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 21:09, 11 June 2024 (UTC)

editHello, I'm M S Hassan. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Phineas and Ferb, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. M S Hassan (talk) 13:27, 13 June 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks! I'll look into a source. CosmoCreeper249 (talk) 19:19, 13 June 2024 (UTC)
