I'm not Katr67, I'm her brother (we tend to keep tabs on each other's talk pages), but I think I can answer your questions adequately.
- To merit an article at all on Wikipedia, a subject should meet certain notability standards, backed up by multiple references in reliable sources that are independent of the subject--the more specific guidelines for musicians can be found here. I Googled you, and based on that, I think I would have difficulty coming up with enough to meet that standard. I see that you're mentioned over at Bain Mattox, but I'd rate that article as borderline at best. (To be fair, you appear to be far more established than 99% of the people trying to get their bands included here....we speedily delete dozens of articles every day created by people trying to promote their high school/college/garage bands from around the globe.)
- The list you inserted yourself into is considerable, but it consists of the most notable entertainers from Portland, all of which have their own articles. Even a major worldwide recording artist who's just moved into a new city doesn't really qualify to be immediately counted among the most prominent entertainers of that city.
- Wikipedia strongly discourages people from writing about themselves, people or other subjects that are close to them, or anything where a potential conflict of interest exists. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a free web host or an advertising medium. It is not the place to be promoting yourself.
I'm not trying to discourage you from contributing here--I'm guessing with your experience that you could dig up quite a number of things to contribute about various articles relating to the Athens scene, for instance. Just don't worry about your own status here--if you become successful on the Portland music scene, one of your legions of fans that you don't even know will write an article about you. :-)
I've included a welcome message with many helpful links on Wikipedia policies and procedures, in addition to the ones I've included in this response. Please peruse these links, and if you have any other questions, let me or Katr know. Thanks, and take care. --Finngall talk 03:54, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
