How are you Courtney? My name is Jack and I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a linguistics and political science major and like you, I love languages! I study French, Spanish, Arabic, and Russian so we have several languages in common. Well best of luck in this class and in your travels! Sounds like fun! Hey courtney, I added headings and hyperlinks to your references into the paragraphs. Remember to put the hyperlinks in the passages to the references in the future! You may want to put the reference numbers after the period in the sentence since it does not actually have any use within the boundary of the sentence itself. Also there was a ton of information about the extinction of your language and revitalization programs for it in your lead section. You may want to make a separate section for a specific aspect of the language and its people. Also, you mentioned that it was unfortunate that Tagish was not included as a native language program. It is important to keep those types of words that make the writer seem emotionally attached to the topic out of the article since we are supposed to be as neutral as possible. Some aspects you might want to mention more about could be the history of the language and the people who spoke it, as well as placing your information about the language rejuvenation into a different category. Cutting down your lead paragraph will help people interested in your language take a quick glimpse of it and understand what will be shown in the rest of your article.
