August 2021

edit

  Hello, I'm Binksternet. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Super Sentai, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 19:21, 16 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

  You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of Marvel Comics superhero debuts. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 22:50, 16 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing the List of Marvel Comics superhero debuts for one month to prevent further edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  ~ ToBeFree (talk) 23:07, 16 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.

Vietnam IPs, copyvio, edit warring

edit

This user continued the edit-warring behavior of South Vietnam IPs who were adding fansite references and copyright violations. Diannaa removed the copyvio from Publication history of Marvel Comics crossover events in January and again in February 2020, then she had to repeat the action twice again in July 2021, putting the article into protection against the actions of Vietnam IPs. The very first edit of CreatorVRXAZ was to ask Diannaa "hey um can i talk to you". The conversation did not continue. Later, CreatorVRXAZ added text copied from book blurbs, for instance this bit of text, "Gwen Stacy is back in the webs and has an all-new, all-different mystery to solve: the reappearance of the Lizard!", which is found in many websites about the comic book.

In parallel actions, on the page List of Marvel Comics superhero debuts, Vietnam IPs had been adding URLs pointing to various pages of https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/, which is not considered a reliable source. Nikkimaria removed these URLs in April 2020, but they were re-added by Vietnam IPs in July 2021.[1] An edit war ensued from Vietnam IPs persistently restoring the URLs until August 11 when the page was protected. Five days later, CreatorVRXAZ resumed the exact edit war pattern of the Vietnam IPs.[2][3]

A partial list of involved IPs is found below. Binksternet (talk) 17:17, 22 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
