editPlease stop adding unsourced information to articles. Seasider53 (talk) 21:29, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry who are you sorry? Are you wikipedia? which bit is unsourced? I am new so would rather have some advice and help rather than just keep chopping out information. CreweNufan (talk) 21:33, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
- So you're saying that unless there is a link for the information online, it can't be put online? Without a link it never happened? CreweNufan (talk) 21:43, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
- sources have been added. I seen the comment about a block. We are all here to learn. How about helping out a new person rather than just pull down their work. You were a learner once upon a time. CreweNufan (talk) 22:23, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
- We both know this isn’t your first account, but that detective work can wait for another day. Seasider53 (talk) 22:38, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
- What sorry? why are you so aggressive and threatening? this is my first account, there are a number of other members, i.e 1300 others who may well make amendments. We are just trying to make a page and learn as we go. CreweNufan (talk) 22:40, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
- Why are you constantly deleting? There are links. It is clear I am not very good at this so needed help. But no. You are making it like this is some special club that you are in charge of and dictate what gets to be passed. Think you should offer people help CreweNufan (talk) 22:45, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, sorry how is a podcast from a reputable podcast provider not good enough? It is a podcast where we spoke at length for an hour about the project at their request. This is ridiculous. Every time we try and put in information with sources we get it pulled down 217.38.78.254 (talk) 12:44, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
- A non-notable subject will remain so regardless of the references you try to add to it, if the references don't show notability of the subject. Seasider53 (talk) 13:16, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
- What do you mean sorry? What is deemed as notable? Once upon a time amazon would be deemed as a non notable start up. Are you deemed as notable? What’s the bench mark for notable then? It’s subjective but you have it out for anyone who wants to make progression. It’s notable as it’s a community owned club which isn’t common in the UK 217.38.78.254 (talk) 13:23, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
- From looking online you submit what you want and that is gospel and delete anyone else who dares to add to an article. What you deem as suitable, I may not. 217.38.78.254 (talk) 13:25, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
- Look at WP:NOTABILITY. Seasider53 (talk) 17:24, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
- I’ve given up discussing with you. You’re clear that you have an issue with everyone not fitting what you deem in your world to not match you. It’s fine. This closed mind approach will not stop us growing and achieving more than you ever will. Embarrassing. 2A00:23EE:12C8:E933:7DE2:4792:8A10:4EF1 (talk) 17:56, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
- I fully expected the I don’t want help response from the person who wanted help. Not my first day. Enjoy wasting your time going forwards. Seasider53 (talk) 20:19, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
- I have asked so many times. It is clear I have no idea what is happening on here to send a link to a WP: article, you may as well send it to me in a foreign language. Then you flip it and say I don't want help. I have asked from min 1 for help. I was seriously under the impression, very foolishly of me, that you would be here to help progress the site and include new articles and help people through them. Imagine if I had a new customer in my business, ask for help, I threw them out the door for not knowing. It is a community and an attitude I have never experienced before and never want to again. It is deplorable. How dare you not know something, here is the exit. Once upon a time, you didn't know something, how would you like it with someone rather than teach, just chucked you out and ridiculed. CreweNufan (talk) 20:25, 26 March 2023 (UTC)

Hello
edit- Hi @CreweNufan - I've had a lot of articles deleted here, so I've had my share of issues with the website as well. Basically to have an article here, the subject has to have a couple of independent sources where they are the main topic to prove notability. The football section also has some other guidelines that can help determine notability - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Football/Notability, which unfortunately, Crewe doesn't meet right now due to not being in the FA Cup for example. The Ronaldo thing was kind of clever, but there's also another rule that prevents articles where the subject is only famous for one thing (and the Ronaldo thing would be that) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(people)#People_notable_for_only_one_event. Additionally, the website also has rules against self-promotion, which you have to be careful of in this situation - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest. I'm sure you don't mean any harm by it, but this situation happens multiple times a day here with people using the site as a way to advertise themselves or do other things. The website really does have a lot of rules these days and the bar for entry is much higher than it used to be. That may eventually change and it may not. I don't agree with a lot of the rules, but it's essentially a vote based system on those matters and my one vote isn't enough. You can feel free to ask me anything you'd like, and I'll be happy to assist you if I can.KatoKungLee (talk) 20:39, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for your offer of help. I do appreciate it. I am a bit aghast at the community here and the reluctance to let anyone in to progress. Yes we are not in the FA cup granted but there are hundreds of non league clubs. Ironically today is non league day, to support the lower league clubs. People need to let us grow and progress and not restrict growth. We are building the page. For example, we had a live interview on Sky Sports News. But we can't put that on here as it isn't a link but it most certainly happened. We have recording, evidence the lot. What do we do there? Now if we say it happened, we will get deleted. Feels very much like pushing jelly up a hill here. CreweNufan (talk) 23:34, 25 March 2023 (UTC)
- Hey CreweNufan, I'm pretty surprised by all the voting of deleting articles as well since it's supposed to be an encyclopedia and encyclopedia's have everything. I'd like to see every club ever included here. I've published some articles on more obscure clubs like SC Staaken, SK Schärding and MSV Pampow. I would definitely cite the Sky Sports interview. You could maybe try this one for that - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Cite_episode. I don't know what to recommend if someone has an issue with it, but Wikipedia:Teahouse is a place where you can ask any questions and get answers. If the article does get deleted, you can submit the article again. You would have to ask Teahouse or someone else to see how long you would have to wait exactly. Do be very careful about implying that you have any relation to the club - it will be seen as self-promotion and it could lead to bans and other issues. Significant coverage here basically means like 2-3 articles solely dedicated to your club by like local newspapers, Sky Sports or other media organizations. While the Ronaldo thing was good, the WP:SUSTAINED rule would be a good argument against the article solely on that due to it being a temporary thing.KatoKungLee (talk) 00:49, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
- Hi. Many thanks. I do appreciate the help. This is what I thought this community would be about but you’ve been a rare help. I will try that cite. 2A02:C7F:5865:8C00:905D:E84C:35D5:C04F (talk) 08:26, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
