Your recent edits

edit

  Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 18:26, 3 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Laila Tyabji

edit

Thanks for your edits on Laila Tyabji. I have since made a few corrections. By the way, editors in Wikipedia, by practice, do not seem to follow the pattern, fourth-highest, but prefer a simple fourth highest. However, I have left it like that, may be, some one else will have a look at it. I have also corrected the sentence, The organization has a producer group base of over 250, and employs more than 36000 artisans; Dastkar does not employ 36000 artisans, it is the group base which has that many artisans.--jojo@nthony (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for correcting my mistakes! I wasn't sure what the sentence about the producer base was intended to say; I thought it meant that Dastkar had a producer-artisan-relationship system or something similar, with 250 producers for the 36000 artisans. Your Userbox Requests

edit

Hello Crossark! Your requests are completed. The first two are the ones made by me while the last two are from already existing Wikipedia user templates:

Code Result
{{User:SimonOrJ/Userboxes/Neurology}}
 This user is interested in Neurology.
Usage
{{User:SimonOrJ/Userboxes/Y'all|Texas}}
y'allThis user lives in Texas, and has practiced the use of y'all throughout their lifetime. This habit occasionally makes its way into the conversations.
Usage
{{Template:User harp-4}}
harp-4This user is a professional harpist.
Usage
{{Template:User Texan}}

I did not do the harp one since the one with similar content already exists. If you'd like custom colors or changes/additions made to userboxes, don't hesitate to ask so! I'd be glad to help you with it. Best wishes, "SimonOrJ"(U/T/C) 02:44, 4 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Bat Ye'or, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Eccentric. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Thank you for the comment. Could you be more specific about what confuse you, or put a tag at it or a note at the Discussion page ? I just try to put some sources actually, and rearranging the text accordingly. May be I miss something. Kembangraps (talk) 23:54, 7 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

New deal for page patrollers

edit

Hi Crossark,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Draft:Céline Bosquet

edit

Hello, Crossark. It has been over six months since you last edited your Articles for Creation draft article submission, "Céline Bosquet".

In accordance with our policy that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. 1989 (talk) 23:10, 14 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Wikify: Current Backlog Reduction Plan

edit

Hey, I noticed you marked yourself as a member of WikiProject Wikify and you are currently listed as active. I was wondering if you would be able to assist with our current backlog reduction plan. While traditional drives are more structured month-long sprints by WikiProject Wikify members, there is currently lacking activity within the project and in order to significantly reduce the incredible backlog, members are encouraged to review all articles marked with the Underlinked Template Message - {{underlinked}} - a list of which can be found here - to analyze the worthiness of the template message on the given article. Articles that have nothing to link or are have had wikilinks sufficiently added should have the template removed to clear the backlog and make it easier for editors to find articles in genuine need of wikification. This can be done by any editor; however, all editors should consider joining if they haven't done so already. Thank you!

June 2021

edit

  Hello, I'm Hulmem. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Warning from Space, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. hulmem (talk) 15:42, 18 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

I apologize for leaving out a citation for this information. It would've been prudent to do so, I acknowledge, but it was late for me when I made the edit and I figured I'd come back to it the following day to add citations (assuming no one else already had). However, I notice that other information in the same section lacks a citation and hasn't been removed — notably the blurb that says the film received a RiffTrax commentary. I don't understand why this "cite first, publish later" standard for citations isn't applied universally. I hope you can forgive me for believing that easily fact-checked information that also contained no esoteric language that would need to be sourced from interviews/thinkpieces (like the properly cited, "x influenced y," sentences in the same section do) would be in less urgent need of citation, and that they could be added at a later date by one of the many users who go around the site adding citations to correct information all the time. Indeed, I admit that I wonder why you were so quick to remove the information when it was easily verifiable, and a citation could have been added by you at the time. It would seem you're simply removing any new uncited information, without doing anything in the way of due diligence to determine whether the information itself merits being in the article — something of a scorched earth policy that I don't know if I fully agree with. Nevertheless, I shall provide citations in a little while for the information I provided. Thank you for informing me that they were needed.Crossark (talk) 23:38, 18 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
