Hi! Thanks for helping to fight vandalism!

edit

Hello there, Csalomonlee! I noticed you're new to Wikipedia, so I gave to the welcome template above. I also noticed that you reverted some vandalism to the article on paper density - thank you very much for doing this. As you may have seen already, vandalism is a big problem on Wikipedia. There are several groups of editors devoted to fighting vandals and cleaning up articles that may have been affected - we're known as the CVU, the Counter-Vandalism Unit. We use vandal-fighting tools and scripts to help us find vandalism on pages, revert it (rather than just editing the page and deleting the vandalism as you did, we can actually return the page to how it was in the history before the vandal attacked - this way we can get back any content they may have deleted, like your vandal did), and give the vandals warning notices on their user talk pages, to tell them what they did wrong and inform them they may be banned if they don't stop. If you want, come and talk to me about any things you might like to learn to do with fighting vandals. Enjoy your time at Wikipedia. —Vanderdeckenξφ 11:50, 2 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well, I suppose the first thing to do is make sure you know the full Wikipedia policy and definition of vandalism. All the links on that page can be useful. I suggest you also equip yourself with some vandal fighting tools - Twinkle is incredibly useful, giving you history tools (buttons up the top by Edit, History and Move to do things like automatically see the diff of the most recent edit, or the combined diff of all the edits to the page since your last edit there), the ability to roll back edits (a little bit like the Undo button, but more sophisticated - runs the whole thing, automatic edit summary with a box for you to add your comment, and automatically opens the user's talk page), as well as user warning and deletion tools. —Vanderdeckenξφ 20:16, 17 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Lanyon Solutions

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Lanyon Solutions requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. I removed the tag. It has some secondary sources. Could do with some more though. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 00:43, 6 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the feedback. I'll add more sources. Csalomonlee (talk) 14:42, 6 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
