interest and advice
editI'm very interested in these articles for small cultural and language groups, but it is important not to try more than the material supports. There is no precedent for keeping an article on an individual year's summer program--eventually the whole series might be notable. As for Kotlerman, have you any references from other people to his work? If so, add them to the article now, and there might be a chance. If not, I suggest you do some more documented Yiddish cultural figures, including those involved in Yiddish education & scholarship. My email is enabled, if you'd like to talk about what can reasonably be expected. DGG (talk) 23:22, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
Birobidzhan Jewish National University
editWell, I'd say it's on a shorter side, but perfectly acceptable for a stub. You might want to add the name in Russian and Yiddish/Hebrew and possibly collect all the external links in the "External links" section, but other than that it seems to be OK. Are you planning on expanding it? Either way, keep up the good work! If you have any questions you think I can answer, I'd be happy to help. Territorialism
editHi. I replied to your comment on my talk page. There are a number of articles I've been intending to create over the last year or so and haven't had the time, which you might be interested in collaborating on: Jewish nationalism (currently redirects to Zionism), Yiddishism (currently redirectign to Yiddish language), cultural autonomy (currently redirecting to minority rights). Several important Yiddishists have either poor pages e.g. Chaim Zhitlovsky or no pages e.g. Shmuel Niger. BobFromBrockley 10:34, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, I've maybe changed my mind about Jewish nationalism, due to the lack of inbound links to it. See talk here. BobFromBrockley 10:47, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Beyt Tikkun
editA tag has been placed on Beyt Tikkun requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Bstone (talk) 21:37, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
Has been tagged for deletion due to lack of notability. FYI.... Bstone (talk) 22:35, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

Sources and notability added
editHi Culturalrevival: Shavua Tov: I have spent some time improving the two articles currently up for deletion. The Adas Israel Congregation and Adath Jeshurun Congregation articles, now renamed Adas Israel Congregation (Duluth) and Adath Jeshurun Congregation (Minnetonka) to differentiate them from other similar sounding congregations elsewhere, are now a full articles. They meet all criteria for such articles. I also wish to point out that this is proof of what can and should be done to improve stubs. Merely because someone has started a stub does not mean that the article of a place/person/event are "not notable" since not all people have the time and capability of working to improve such articles. There is no statute of limitations on how long a stub deemed to be significant can exist and it is certainly no reason to invoke reasons to eliminate them, otherwise why do we have stubs in the first place? It is requested that the nominations be withdrawn! Please look into this. Sincerely, IZAK (talk) 11:12, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Follow-up with creator of Minnesota synagogues stubs
editHi Culturalrevival: You may be interested to know that I have contacted User Grika (talk · contribs) who was the editor who originally created all the stub articles about synagogues in Minnesota that have now become the focal point of much debate, and he, as creator of the stubs has neither responded, participated nor defended himself in any discussions AFAIK. Please see User talk:Grika#Requesting your attention. Feel free to add your comments. Thanks, IZAK (talk) 09:47, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of Viktor Gozhy
editThe article Viktor Gozhy has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- This BLP has been sitting unsourced and virtually unedited for nine years. I can't find any substantial reliable sources outside of Wikimirrors.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 23:30, 11 March 2016 (UTC)
